More resort-specific merchandise

Happy to see this. On our first trip to WDW without our kids, my wife and I really enjoyed going to the different resorts and buying the resort specific items. Of course, I think there were only four at the time, Contemporary, Polynesian, Ft Wilderness, and Wilderness Lodge.

Four places that had it or four hotels?

Four hotels, from what I remember; it has been several years, might be confusing trips as not sure if the Wilderness Lodge was open at the time. This was about 35 years ago.

The original four were poly, contemp, ft wilderness, and the golf inn (later Disney inn and now shades of green)

Wilderness was built in 1994

I for one am glad to see them bringing back more resort specific merch. I enjoyed that each property had unique things to offer. It made my wife and I want to check them all out even more.

Being able to get the same merchandise everywhere just made the whole place less special, IMO.

I'm happy to see this trend, too. I just wish it was a bit more "unique" merchandise. It appears to be the same made-in-China, mass-produced stuff you see elsewhere, just with the resort logo rather than Mickey, Donald, etc. A step in the right direction, but a ways to go (IMHO).
