more recommendations please!!

ok so following on from my thread about what to eat/not to eat at Rainforest...i am now looking for the same advice re Annettes! many thanks to you all for being so helpful

Everything I've tried from Annette's I love!

The set menu looks pretty good value though think we will try that on our next trip!

The set menu is a big rec on my books. I think it's a little under 18 euro's (if this is wrong, someone please correct me) and you get a drink, your choice of Annette's Classics and a brownie with ice cream for dessert. Do make sure you can eat a lot because we usually have to really push to finish dessert.

My favourite is the Onion burger, my brother always takes the Cheese burger and my mum's a Euro Chick kinda gal. All three are always fab. Just make sure that they cook them the way you like.

Another recommendation for the set menu, I had the onion burger last year that was awesome. The portions are big and at £14 (ish) for a main course and a dessert it's very good value. I have found that both times we went the service was rather dicey though - the food seemed to take forever to come and if you go late in the evening the queue outside can be massive, but that's the same for most places in the Village just after park closing. My advice would be go either lunch time or early evening.

wish I could help you but the only thing(s) I've eaten at Annette's were burgers and they have had their 3 strikes and you are out from me and OH.

Both basically

We got brought drinks that we hadn't ordered. We asked to order. No one came and took our order for at least 10 minutes after that

I asked for coleslaw with the burger and they said no pb I could have a little cup full even though it was no longer offered as a side

Drinks turned up, or rather one did the other one came 5 minutes later

Food arrived, wrong burger for me. The waiter wasn't bothered, never said sorry or anything.... DH had stopped eating to eat along with me as it's no fun going to a restaurant together to eat alone - so his food was now cold when my burger turned up 15 minutes later

We asked the waiter to change his chips which they did after a fashion.

I never got any coleslaw but we decided to forget about it and just eat.

The food was ok, nothing special, nothing bad, just ok. The chips are like those in McDonald's and you get loads of them so your plate looks huge but after a bit they are all cold and nasty

We asked for the bill and when we got it found that we had been charged for the first burger which was more expensive plus 1,50€ for the coleslaw !!

Eventually got the waiter back and off he went to change the bill, again no excuses or apologies nothing

The staff spent all their time talking near the main counter and greeting friends rather than being out in the room. They were taking the p out of clients that were non French speaking.

The manager wandered up and down but again stayed chatting to friends sitting not that far from us.

Prefer to eat at McDo for a fraction of the cost or go to Café des Cascadeurs when it's open.

Went back in Jan and didn't come back in June... afaik no plans on bringing it back with the next menu change either
