more on colors of maids

Ok- Thanks for all of your opinions about the bridesmaids concern that pink will not look good on them. Now my cousin and I were talking last weekend and she started about the color again....not hateful or anything, she is very sweet and would probably die if she knew this hurt my feelings, but when she says that the color will not look good on her, it makes me feel bad, because these are the colors that I have in my mind....I did think about champagne or taupe w/ plae pink accents but I am not sure that would be any better, probably the palimino/bronze would work best. I did point out a turquoise dress that I thought the color was pretty, and I thought the color was gorgeous but not for my wedding- Ijust commented on it. So my questions is how do I tell her it is bothering me? I mean I do not want her to be miserable but at the same time I am not really willing to change my color scheme, because there are 4 girls and that is what I like....if she was hateful about it I would not have a second thought about saying THIS IS MY WEDDING, but she has never been that way. I think she thinks that I kind of liked the turquoise and that if she mentions it that I will change and I am just not really willing to do that, I want pink....help....thanks

I think you should just be honest. Say you understand her point of view and say you have looked around at other colours but you have decided that you really want to stick to that colour and you hope she can be ok with that. Im sure once you tell her how you feel she'll be fine - she probably doesnt realise its upsetting you so much! Good luck!

Just tell her the truth. Let her know that you care about her opinion and thats its bothering you that there is not an agreement on the color. Let her know that there are MANY other things that you should be worrying about, but you are having a hard time because you are concerned for her. Hopefully she will feel bad for distracting you and keep mum about it. Or you could tell her that you are willing to wear mustard yellow to her wedding if thats what she wanted! haha
