More Mall of America hotel questions

Well, I had decided to book the hotel my conference is in (the Sheraton). I called for reservations. The "conference" rooms are no longer available. Cost for room $169.00 for the first two nights, then 119 for next two nights!!! NO WAY. This is ridiculous~
I am now going to stay somewhere else and either drive to the Sheraton (I know there is construction going on) or take a cab to the Sheraton for the conference. I would much rather pay for a suite with breakfast buffet included!!
Anyone have suggestions? Am going to contact Embassy Suites which I think is very near the mall.
I didn't know if there was another nice hotel close to the Sheraton.

I stayed at the Days Inn several years ago, but it was a good hotel.

It was nice and it had free breakfast and you got a cookie when checking in. I din't know what it cost, my company had booked it.

The Grand Hotel is no longer there That's where this conference was held a couple of months ago.
