My comp crashed, everything gone, and I was able to put it back on itunes. I just bought a new song and it didnt automatically sync to my ipod. What do I do?

Did you just plug the ipod in and not go to anything after that?

Sometimes, if it doesn't sync automatically, you need to go to itunes, look at the top left hand corner and then click on:

-File
-Sync Ipod.

Then it should be put on there.

Do you have the song on your computer? If you don't you can have them give it to you again. To do that...

Look at your account information? You know where the username is in the upper right hand corner? Well click on it and on the screen go to purchase history and find the song and click on report a problem. I'm not very savvy with itunes stuff and that's all I really know how to do. I usually have to email them no matter what.

Regardless, I would email Apple and tell them your problem. They are usually very helpful in figuring out a solution.

Yea, I would just be afraid all of my music would be gone from the ipod if I only synced the one song.

Wait...but doesn't when you buy a song, it automatically get added to your library? And your library has all of your old songs on it too, so when you sync it then wouldn't all of your songs still be there? I didn't know you could sync just one song, unless you only had one song in your library to begin with.

Unless! You have different playlists...but I don't really know how those work, because I don't organize my music that way....

huh. I don't know.

*ish confused*

EDITS: Wait! I just asked my father and he said that you can't just sync one song if you have more than that in your library. If you Sync, then ALL of the music in your library will get put there. The only way they'd get taken off is if they were deleted and you synced it after that, but since you said that you got the rest of them put back on there, it should be ok!

*nods*

Thanks Laura and Kylie. I'm copying everything I can now, backing it up, and dumping the whole thing.
This is the 3rd time I've had to do this in the 1 1/2 years I have this thing. When my iPod dies, I swear I am never going back.

That's the thing. I cannot find their email address. It says "email submission form for itunes store help pnly"
I DEF want to send them an informative email/nasty gram about this situation. I am extremely disappointed.

Yea, I always have trouble finding their email even though I've done it several times.

Go here http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/

Find a topic that best relates to your problem and email them about it.
