More guests at PS and Menu Tasting?

Ok so I need some advice bc i am panicing a bit. My planning session and menu tasting is in 2 weeks. I live in Virginia with my fiancee and his parents live in this area as well. My folks relocated to Florida near Disney a few years ago.

DF folks have NEVER been to Disney. Crazy I know. They are flying down with us for our 4 day jaunt to Disney for the planning session and e-pics with Randy.

My parents are paying for about 90% of the wedding so they need to be at both parts. His folksat first did not really want to attend the planning session. They were afraid of stepping on toes with my folks and our decisions. They were going to explore. Go meet with the Group Sales lady at Raglan Road where we are hosting the rehearsal dinner etc.

Problem is DFTW requests its only 4 people attend either part. Now his folks will be done meeting at Raglan Rd and want to meet us for the menu tasting.

I have sent an email to my "fill in planner" since Pamela is out on leave but has anyone ever had more than the four? Will they make an exception. We are even willing to pay for the extra to attend or we'd share the same size portion. I just dont know where they even host these tastings. Is it more of a space thing?

It just wasnt a bridge we had to cross bc they didnt want to go before. Now i would feel bad if they paid for the flights and expenses to come down with and me have to tell them they arent allowed to join us on that part....

It's a space thing—especially if your tasting is in a kitchen, there just isn't room for more than 4 people. I'm sure if you explain to them that it's Disney's rule, they'll understand. They're going to get to spend the whole rest of the trip with you!

Thanks! I'm hoping for a miracle. Its at Yacht/Beach Club so maybe it wont be all up in the kitchen....

I was told by my planner that having a few extra people was ok for the planning session part that occurs at Franck's Bridal Studio because they understand that there are two sets of parents involved, so there will be 5 of us at our PS. However, they said that for the menu tasting there was a strict 4 person limit since it takes place in the kitchens at the resorts.

I would still ask your planner. Our menu tasting was not in the kitchen, it was in a boardwalk convention center ballroom. And people get different answers on stuff all the time from the planners, so just ask. The worst she could say is no.
