From SFGate, the article mentions that more exercise is better for you.

The doctor studied runners, though the data is only good for up to about 50 miles per week. (Beyond 50, there simply weren't enough in the sample to provide valid data.) The doctor in the article says that the guidelines of 30 minutes per day, five times per week, if fine for couch potatoes, but people really would benefit greatly by getting out and moving around more than that.

The comment section is really depressing though. :sad2:

Wow. It's an interesting article, but the study seems, well, a little spotty. More information, beyond the scope of the article, as well as a wider range of subjects, might have cleared things up for readers.

Still, what's so controversial about saying "more exercise is better"? :confused3

And I agree with you about the comments. A lot of angry people out there, with ad hominem attacks and misinformation about running. Not sure why people feel the need to judge Williams' study based on his physical appearance or to slam people who do run/work out 8+ hours a week. :confused3

Sure, I may be obsessed, or one-dimensional, or whatever. But I don't think running has anything to do with that. :rotfl2:
