Better late than never! :goodvibes Here are some pictures from our BLT Grand Opening trip...

We stayed in a 1-bedroom Bay Lake view villa on the 7th floor. It was located on the outer side, facing the Contemporary & the marina. There were 5 of us (3 teenagers ). We usually get a 2-bedroom villa at BWV, so this was an experiment for us - would we all fit comfortably? The answer, yes! Although, the kids would rather have their own rooms. ;) Already have a call into our guide for more points. LOL! :rotfl:

Here are some shots of our view... interior pictures coming in a little bit...

Isn't this an amazing shot? A friend of mine took this when she was visiting! Thanks, V!

You can see Downtown Disney, DHS & Epcot from this villa. We even watched Illuminations one night. :thumbsup2

Overall, we were very impressed with BLT. Yes, there are a few minor things that need tweaking, but they aren't deal breakers in my book. I can't wait to go back for New Year's Eve! :yay:

I'll post more pictures soon! :goodvibes
Cheers!
Michelle

With views like that I'd have trouble leaving the room.:goodvibes Looking forward to seeing more of your photos. Thanks for posting them.

Thanks for posting your BLT pics. They are pretty awesome shots. We are staying in a BLV villa in January and can't wait to see the resort for ourselves.

Great pictures. I can't wait to stay there in January!
I have to also add-we requested MK views because we thought they would be the best. While I'm sure they are great, I would not be disappointed with the Lake view either!

We are going to be there on Oct 21 with a LV and although we will be in a studio I am glad to see that even on the 7th floor you still have great views. There is always a chance that my MKV WL will come through, :lmao: but I'm not going to hold my breath. Thanks for posting the pics and I look forward to seeing the rest.

Thanks for posting those beautiful pictures, Michelle! We are so excited to stay there in January, 2 BR LV (bringing some extended family along)

Hope your trip was fabulous!:goodvibes

Thanks for posting these great pics! Makes me even more excited for checking in to our lake view studio in just over 4 weeks!! :cheer2:

Wow ! These are some of the best BLT pix I've seen so far :thumbsup2 Your villa had a great view too ! :goodvibes

Just wondering, did you go to TOWL to watch Wishes & if you did, did your kids go along and also about how many people would you say were there ?

Have read on some threads here that not too many people seem to be going up to TOWL for this. Our 3 kids :dance3: (early to late teens ) have already informed DH and I that comes the trip we book at BLT they have absolutely no intention or interest in watching Wishes from our villa (if we happen to book MK view) or from TOWL ..... this is what I fully expected them to say too - we love the parks at night and they wouldn't want to leave MK or other park to head back to BLT for Wishes although DH & I would probably go to TOWL at least one night on our own to watch & enjoy some adult bevs ;)

Hi TheDISneyFamily,

Congratulations on buying more points as well. You can always find a way to spend those extra points! :thumbsup2

Wow, thanks for the pictures Michelle - it looks amazing and I can't wait to stay there in a couple of months :thumbsup2

Great pictures! Good to know that you can see illuminations from that side of the building. I am all about fireworks!

OK, here are some interior shots of the 1-bedroom Bay Lake view villa. Mind you, we had a 2-hour flight delay and arrived much later than I wanted, so we had hit the ground running. I didn't get nearly as many 'clean' villa shots as I hoped to before we had to go. I guess I'll just have to go back. ;)

MK view from our 1st walk across the skybridge...

On the Bay Lake side we were treated to a double rainbow. It was a sign. :cloud9:

We made it! Here is our Opening Day lithograph...
BLT-7736-12.jpg

It could use a little flattening... but I'm very happy to have it, especially since the Bay Lake Tower Opening Day pins were already sold out by the time we got there. :sad1:

The dining area...

The sleeper chair. My 17 year old son slept on this. No complaints, so it must not be too bad. I would have heard about it if he wasn't happy. :rolleyes1
BLT-7736-16.jpg

LCD TV with all the hook-ups that you could possibly want. :thumbsup2
BLT-7736-17.jpg

Sleeper couch. My girls slept on this. They grumbled a little about it not being very comfy... but I expected that. They are spoiled and like having their own beds on vacation...
BLT-7736-18.jpg

Master bath sink & vanity... the lighting is terrible for putting on make-up. My DH missed his pull out mirror, too.
BLT-7736-19.jpg

Master bedroom... VERY comfy. I almost felt guilty since the kids were out in the living room in the pull-outs... almost... ;)
BLT-7736-20.jpg

Desk area, worked like it should & had no problems hooking up the laptop...
BLT-7736-21.jpg

Master bath view from bedroom. The tub was nice & worked well.
BLT-7736-22.jpg

I missed a pic of the second bathroom. I'll add that in later...

Here's a picture I took the next morning. The room was dark without the camera flash. I just wanted to show how big the room is with both pull-outs... (yes, there's a body in the sleeper chair! LOL!)
BLT-7736-23.jpg

Here's the kitchen area again... with the flash...
BLT-7736-24.jpg

and without... I love the under cabinet lighting! The kitchen is functional even when the rest of the room is dark. Those big drapes really block out all of the daylight, too.
BLT-7736-25.jpg

Here's another pic of when the room is dark with low-level lighting...
BLT-7736-26.jpg

...and here we are TheDISneyFamily!

I'll finish up by posting some pictures of The Top of the World lounge and other BLT pics in another post later today or tomorrow...

Have a great day!
-Michelle

Thanks for the sneak peak on the room Michelle! I was wondering how cramped it would be with both the sofa and chair beds pulled out, so you were a big help with that one (even if Conner was still sleeping). :rotfl:

Thanks for the photos. My favorite is the one of your family. You look so happy together.
