More AP rooms opening!

When I made my ressies yesterday...I could only get half of my trip. I just called back, and was able to book the second half at AKL! YEAH!

Other "deluxe" resorts were available as well.

That's great and your post should encourage others to do the same. If you think about it, it's only logical. Many posters had existing ressies and when the rates changed, some canceled their ressies to upgrade to other resorts, or move to resorts with more room. Whatever the reasons, I'm sure while many rooms where being zapped up at the AP rates, many more rooms were being canceled. Some folks even mention holding more than one reservations at different resorts. I'm sure when the dust settles, there may be others getting into the resorts they originally wanted.

I had the same experience. Called twice yesterday to try and get the AP for WL and was told it was completely full. Called again this morning and was upgraded to Courtyard from Standard for $300 less.

Just called this afternoon to double check for AP rates for our Oct. 13-18th WL Concierge stay. Yesterday AM during all the craziness nothing anywhere in WL available for AP rate. Today, 4 of our 5 dates available for AP rate of 277.64. Booked DC rate for 13th but by the time we were done and ready to confirm the 13th opened up for the AP rate as well. Am able to save 493.61 compared to the FT package. Tryed to check for two other families going with us but there were no more AP rates at the WL for those dates. Will have to have them continue to check. So, it goes to show things are opening up all the time. Good Luck everyone.

pattievers, thanks for the information. I have a comeback rate at WL for Dec. 6-13 and couldn't get the AP rate for all days when I called yesterday. After reading what you said, I phoned CRO and got the AP room rates for each day of the trip. Courtyard room was $167 for comeback and AP rate is $157.
