DTD, glad you got to spend some quality time with Glancy! I am mostly on Facebook for the Scrabble and to peek in on my DD! :dance3:

Lynette! I made the baked tater soup tonight! Yum. But I had to tweak the recipe a bit because it seemed kind of thin. Maybe my potatoes were too small :confused3 Anyway, I added some extra cheese, but that didn't help enough, so I stuck my Corningware bowl on the stove on medium, mixed up a little flour and water to stir in, and voila! Perfect. I forgot to add the sour cream dollop on the first bowl, so I tried that on the second bowl. Mmmmmmm. And I used bacon crumbles from a jar and chopped up some scallions for my onion to make it easy on myself.

By the way, do you peel your potatoes? The directions didn't say to, but I did.

Ummmm, that would be "zoo"! I am really enjoying having some people to play with!

Moo...I'm beginning to think you put a whammy on my letter selection! I keep getting the garbage letters! Couldn't make a word to save my mortal soul! :rotfl:

I'll have to try and remember to get the ingredients this weekend, it does sound good. Or even plain baked potatoes with sour cream. And I have been craving cheddar cheese.
Maybe I better start a shopping list....

L, remember that you can swap letters. It costs you a turn, but is sometimes really worth it! Just put the unwanted letters on the board and click on "swap tiles". I do this when I end up with a bunch of vowels.

Goog job with "qi"! I always forget that's a word. If I don't have a u, I often try to play "qat". Or "faqir". That last word was the one that caused my DD to cry uncle

Marita, you should definitely try the soup! I think I would use about four potatoes instead of two though. And I somehow lost my potato masher (probably took it to my sister's one time), so I had to improvise with a fork, then a slotted metal spatula. I also left my flour/water shaker for making gravy at my sister's. Guess I need to order a new one from Tupperware. Time to contact my friend who sells it.

Glad you liked the soup! I don't peel my potatoes for that recipe...I just give 'em a real good scrub. The soup may have ended up a little thin because you peeled your taters. I think that some of the starch in the peels is what helps thicken it up a bit. Sometimes if my soup looks a little thin, I toss in some canned potatoes or some frozen Ore-Ida mashed potatoes (a 1/2 cup or so of either usually does the trick). Also, I usually add a little extra cheese (because you really can't have TOO much cheese, can ya?), and sometimes I caramelize some onions to place on top just before serving. It looks nice and adds a great flavor to the soup.

Okay, I'm off to prep lunches and get myself to bed....see you guys tomorrow! Sweet dreams!

I bought some Schwan's frozen mashed potatoes this week . . . I might try using them next time!

Has anyone had any success in getting that new Crocs smell to go away quickly? Ughhhhh! Hubby's new ones reek!!! I may have to run some hot water over them in the shower. That's what I did with my Mickey ones.

I dont like potato soup - but I've made the LeCellier CHEESE soup - I must say it made a huge difference when I made it with more expensive cheese!! and do you have whisks Moo? I just got a potato masher a couple of weeks ago (at Goodwill, dh was thrilled!! :rotfl2: Seriously, he's wanted one forever, but i keep telling him the whisk works just fine!!! I also have a pie dough fat cutter inner (technical there I know!! it has a wooden handle - and then wires loop from one end to the other a half circle shape thingy - it mashed taters just fine if you ask me!!)

Dh is going to make split pea soup - blech!

Crocs smell??? really? I hadnt noticed!! I love them new!!

HAVE A WONDERFUL FRIDAY!

I have to go back and catch up.

Took Matt to the ER last night.

I was debating this and boom he breaks out in hives from head to toe, hug brown bags under his eyes and the white were red!

That's all I needed.

His second chest x-ray looks worse than the first. They changed his antibiotic and put him on Zithromax Z-Pak.

Hoping this will help. I didn't hear him cough once, we didn't get home until 1am. Another 4 hours in the ER.

I just want my baby well.

Don't even get me started on the person next to us. She was really something.

A curtain seperated us. I know her life history, she told it to everyone, she sounded drunk, not sure she was though, calling everyone she knows to tell them she's back in the hospital mind you it's after 11pm and she's wondering why people are hanging up on her. I could paint a lovely picture.

My son kept looking at me like WHAT!

He goes to see his dr today. Who called me to see how he was doing. I like him.

MommyP: The baby is just precious!! and you look great! Congratulations.:goodvibes

Monica: Your poor ds. I hope he feels better with the new antibiotics.

LilG: Welcome back. Sounds like an interesting trip.

DTD:
What better way to ring in the New Year?

Have a nice day to all the Moovers. And a great weekend.

Melinda!!! Mrs. Dursley is pretty dead-on. Except my cousin looks like an aging super model clinging to her youth. More like Carol Alt from last night's Apprentice. She's had all the nip-tucks I'd LOVE to afford. I'll just wrinkle and sag happily, thank you!

Speaking of C.A... I think I want Gene Simmons to win. Omarosa and I would not play well together. She is ruthless!

Monica- hope yur son gets better!!! Poor thing!

I have a hard time having time to devote to facebook and that other site. But I do love some Scrabble though. I have a few Scrabble dictionaries even.

howdy everyone...

another cold day today but not as wicked cold as yesterday........megara decided that she had to pee early and she didnt hesitate this time.......she did it....

I had the Zpack once and it is so fast acting........your son should feel better fast with that....

Little Isacc is a cutie........wonder if he knows that he has alot of cyber aunties and uncles.......

I have been introduced to another game on the net......called weboggle and it is driving me nuts......amazing that I still have my sanity...

Egg lady came today and brought me 7 dozen eggs.......I think not......but she did.....so neighbor takes two........I give two to my daughter......and that still leaves me with ALOT......geesh. Maybe my daughter will run out before the next egg delivery.....
I give the lady 2 dollars per dozen .....as she delivers and they are fresh as they can be......one of them is soooooo big I can hardly wait to crack that sucker open.....maybe it is a double yoker......
I know.......Poor Marie is nuts.....she gets excited about eggies......

BIG SIGH....:cutie:

Monica 4 hours - in the ER!! :scared1: Your poor baby!! May the zethromax work faster than fast!! I'll be waiting for the update from your doctor?

Cheryl you're ahead by 100 points - and Wendy you have a Scrabble Dictionary!! OK maybe I have to play - just to give y'all something to laugh out loud about!! :rotfl2: I really like 3 letter words without q's or z's mind you, because you can get a z but never 2 o's!! :rotfl2:

I really need to get out more!!

FIVE MORE SLEEPS :woohoo: and :faint: I was looking at the BCV room site - I want 5th floor!! :wizard:

I tried to sleep till 10 am again!! Its just the dh snores, but its not snoring like normal, no its like a contented sigh - and its not at every breath either - - silence for a count of ten... or 15 or maybe 5... and then aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh only its not a sound like a sigh, its like a snore, but when you breath out.... suffice it to say - Its driving me nutz!! but, hold on, the man is JUST BREATHING!! :rotfl2:

Oh, Pumba! I love Weboggle too...the Shackworks one! My co-workers and I sometimes play simultaneously while we're eating lunch at our respective desks. Makes it almost like a Boggle-athon! Heh. I've only ever gotten to 6th place though. Grrrr!

OMGosh! DON'T get me started on snoring! Someone in my house (in my bed) snores so loudly, I NEVER get a good night's sleep. I think he has sleep apnea. I spend hours staring at the back of his head...wondering if he'd be pissed if I smother him with a pillow...

So between that, barking dogs, meowing cats, kids who wake up and feel the need to tell me they have to pee by loudly whispering in my face, my own bladder, and too much caffeine, I have had to turn to ambien to sleep. It's just nicer than murder. I haven't had a decent night's sleep in 18 years.

well so far kicking him works, as does me sitting up screaming (that's just started with my getting vertigo when I roll over - I HATE that!! But it wakes dh up and I can fall asleep)

Pumba I'd love a couple of dozen of FRESH eggs!! Its been YEARS! egg salad? deviled eggs, angel food cake - oh how I love fresh eggs!!

Monica more positive vibes coming your way!! :wizard:

I'm over at events/competion thread! :rotfl2: I am so LAUGHING OUT LOUD!! Their is this bbl

DS called - he lost fdil... again!! :rotfl2: He was at ohare - mom she is on flight 611 - DS there is no 3 number code - what airline? USAirway I think -

so I had to call my parents (who put her on a plane) "Mom we lost fdil, what plane did you put her on?" (thinking maybe she's at Midway Airport, not Ohare!!) United!

"DS are you sure she is not on united?" "Mom, a call, wait......" "Mom she borrowed a cell, she is on United, I'm at the wrong terminal!" Ok son, get on the monorail and monorail to terminal 1! :sad2:

anyway - the poster on events is Windwalker - Panda - he is just cracking me up!! YARC = You arent right club!! :rotfl2: so true, so true!!

Just get me though the weekend and the kids go back to school......

I had to take them to the grocery store with me this morning I should have stayed home. I sent Nicholas to put the cart back and he was doing something that caught my eye while I was backing out to pick him up . And what did I do.....my bumper hit the bumper of the car behind us. I have never ever been in an accident of any kind before. :headache: Nothing wrong with my car but some paint came off their car. We waited 45 minutes and no one came out of the store. :confused3 So I left my name and number on the windshield. So I jump every time the phone rings. I know it could be worse but I feel terrible. We have no fault insurance here so I don't know what will happen. Maybe I have to pay their deductable :confused3

Worse part is Hubby doesn't know yet either, he will be the one that has to pay for it....so much for my good luck.
