More twinkie newsletter fodder:

DS (you STILL never have given him a knickname!) started football this year.
The twinkies are halfway through their first year of kindergarten and are loving it, particularly when they get to be the star of the week.
Goldenchild is doing all the things that a normal 2 year old does and Grasshopper's latest milestone is . . . . (what has he done yet? smile? when do babies first rollover?).
All in all, the twinkie family has settled in nicely at our new abode and is slowly but surely adapting to our newest addition.

Monica dont you dare give up on you!! Make it to 5 min - come on - get back on that blasted thing, just do 5 min!!

:

I did the treadmill. 35 minutes. I just can't run longer than 90 seconds at a time. So I alternate. walk, run, walk, run......

I just want to run for longer episodes.

Anyone find Wendy? Did I read right a few days back that she had no internet?

Great newsletter fodder Cel! You are hired!

I am going to call Utah and tell her to get that internet fixed asap!

School doesnt start until the 7th... I may have to kill her... or go running!!

Marita I do hope we can meet up with you and Allie - I'm working on a spreadsheet - right now it may depend on if dh can give blood and earn another $100 for tickets!! Its either tickets or food, and dh is leaning toward tickets!! :rotfl2: Bless him!! He really loves me!

Allie no way are you and your dd going to get swept - You wont even come close to coming in last!! Just hang in there, and keep moving - when you slow down to a walk, set your timer and only walk for 2 min then start jogging again, just for 3 min... and you'll both do great!! :thumbsup2

I have Charles on the event/competition thread giving me the best advice!! He's given me a mile by mile layout, and knowing I did 8 miles in 2 hours, he says I just have to make it to mile 10 (at my 15 min mile pace) and I'll be in like flint even if I have to walk the rest of the way!! :thumbsup2 LUV the DIS!!

Well, I need to shower, and dig out my Irish WARM sweater!!

Monica dont you dare give up on you!! Make it to 5 min - come on - get back on that blasted thing, just do 5 min!!

WHERE IS Wendy??

Who has a webcam? DS and his gf both got them for each other for gifts... and dh's laptop mac has one built in!! Not that I know how to use them!! :rotfl2:

Our school doesn't start until the 7th either. Made the kids send their thank you notes today. They were telling me who the note was for and I was giving out addresses so that they could address their own notes. :thumbsup2 Their all done and in the mail. :woohoo:

Do we want to try and meet Marita at the Pop meet or somewhere else? It's a shame I can't give you the extra day on my ticket from UT. Although, DH would have to act like a 9 yo., and you would have to cut and paste our fingerprints. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

We can run for a minute and walk a minute, so I think we will be fine, it's just that first mile is gonna be killer.

Misty posted that UM was having 'puter trouble and would be internetless. Don't ya' know she a goin' crazy 'bout now?

Monica - you need to check out the Couch to 5K program. It is based on a walking/running plan. You just change the amounts of time of walking each week until you end up running the entire time. Week 5 is killer, but once you do it, everything else is fine. Not that me and DD are there, and we run in a week. :scared1: We'll be fine! I keep telling myself that, and maybe I'll believe it. ;)

HI YOU GUYS!!!!

Had a series of unfortunate events following the purchase of a COOL new kitchen table (the tall one at Costco:love:)

1. Upon setting up this table, which didn't look THAT big at Costco:confused3 It overtook our dining area of our kitchen...

2. Our computer is in a computer armoire in the dining area but is now WAY too crowded.

3. I got the brilliant idear to put the computer in our room since it will class up our 80's huge furniture....

4. Took everything out of the armoire and dusted it out (sheesh, computer areas are dusty!) and relocated it.

5. Hooked everything up...and nothing!
a. Fried Mother Board!!!! Son-Of-a!!!!
1. but it's still under warrantee and whatever it is is coming soon...YAY

6. As you may have guessed, panic ensued but I stayed cool and made the best of it.

7. Just so you know, y'all are be-loved and missed!!!!!!!!

8. So, I've spent the last 3 days doing:
a. cleaned out my dresser and put it in the boys room which is really nice since they have tons of clothes.
b. put those clothes in cool lime green Walmart bins in my master closet shelves. but first I had to:
1. Clean out my closet! (found Christmas stuff!!! YOINKS!)
A. downsized all my clothes and shoes
B. Vacuumed and dusted
C. Organized all the accessories and toiletries that are now neatly stored...

9. You'd be impressed!

So this is Jordan's laptop that doesn't have a mouse like I'm accustomed. This touchy pad is sensitive and the keyboard's "o" is a little sticky.

But it's better than being downstairs in the basement where it is COLD. It's 9 degrees in Utah today! Luckily there's no wind so your eyeballs and boogers don't freeze (like on Dum and Dumber- the best movie ever!).

Anywho!

Welcome little Isaac! Just got the 411 from Aunt Twinkie and Aunt Spongie! SOOO happy she got her 2007 baby!

Lali- your bossman is a doofus. Sarcastically tell him you don't need the money. Working for hime is pay enough.popcorn:: I dare You!

Now I have to report to the PEEPS.

Not sure how often I'll be able to log on with stolen wireless, so I'll do my best.

Howdy, Moooovers! We returned to work and school today!* Lots of mopey faces. :sad2:** It wasn't too bad though, we all had a pretty good day.* DD10 is having a mighty difficult time getting her chores done and following directions. I'm getting perturbed!* What's for dinner?

HIP HIP HOORAY

Glad you're able to log on - i'm on DS laptop too!! and you do have to be careful with the touchpad!

My lime green clothes are sitting on the bed as I figure out what to pack!! 7 MORE days!!

FDIL got an airplane today - she left her cell phone in ds car, ds didnt try and park and get it to her (ummm PAGE her!! Tell AA!!) but he didnt. Ohare cancelled flights. My parents are stuck at my brother's in Houston!! FDIL is going to my parents! and she doesnt have her cell!! I called Aunt Wilma (her real name, I figure y'all will love that!!) Aunt Wilma will pick up fdil - she said she'd make a sign with her name on it!! lol I call American Airlines to find out how the connecting flight is... AA doesnt have a flight from Ohare to Pitt to Ft Myers...

drama. my life!! I figure if she can get thru college, get a job, and buy a condo, she doesnt need me to worry!!

Utah!!!!

I see your green light and let me tell you girl you jinxed me goog!!!

So I was telling Wendelicious how my dear sweet baby Grasshopper whom I adore has this little problem. Tummy troubles. Projectile vomiting to be precise. Not your normal baby spit up and believe me I know normal baby spit up. We are talking like the Exorcist. Anyway she says

"Has he done it in the car yet?"
Me: No not yet but we don't really go anywhere.
Her: Oh well that is going to be a big mess.

Not 2 hours later I load up the whole crew to take DSneedsaknickname to basketball practice and on the way home:rolleyes:

Yep.

You guessed it.

Thank googness for those nifty car seat covers- the ones that look like a shower cap and have a zipper and window. They are basically a coat for the carseat since little babies are not supposed to wear coats underneath the straps. Mine is fleece on the inside and jacket material on the outside. I had the little man bundled up inside and the cover zipped and the face flap down so the mess was contained in the carseat but the baby and carseat were soaked.:laundy:

Cel-What kind of pay scale would you like? I can quote you a salary in glitter encrusted crafts or crayon-on-paper original prints.

Hi everyone!

I am still working, ACK!
We are WAY over budget in expenses, and supposed to time it out. Yeah, sure, like THAT is going to happen!:rolleyes1

Just stopping for my first food of the day, a frozen chicen pot pie.

No time to respond, except the last couple:

Uma, glad you kidnapped the laptop! You could try attaching the mouse from the other pc. (sorry about the motherboard, really!)

Sandy, yikes about the plane mess!

Twinkie, yikes and ACK about the car incident.

Ok, off too eat some dinner and back to work ........

Oh, big news of the day: FREEZE is coming tonight. Poor DH has to go to work at midnight to protect the plants at WDW. It was COLD today. 54! and supposed to be worse tomorrow. Actually the temp wasn't so bad, but the wind was HORRIBLY cold!

twinks - oooh! how about crayons AND glitter?!?!?!
I like crafts.
I'll work for craft supplies.

toot: for dinner: left over PF Chang's. Yum!
only it's gone now. :(

marita - I never thought about protecting the plants - does he have to cover them?

Moo, you are still there right?

Well, I was going to post post the lyrics to "take this job and shove it", but it really did not fit
so just go with the sentiment, I am with you
Thanks for that thought, Marita! I think I may have signed off a bit before you posted. I vow to lay off work talk on here for a while

Oh no on the carseat mess, Twink!!!

Wendy, glad you're back in touch :thumbsup2 If only intermittently. Yay on the cleaning and organizing!!!

I am all caught up on Scrabble. Sorry, Mony - you're gonna hate my latest move :rolleyes1 Waiting for Twink to get on board the Scrabble train. Yay, Lynette joined up!!!

Pumba, we got more snow today too! But I think you still are the big WINNER on the overall quantity award. It got down to zero according to my car on the drive home tonight though. I'm going to turn up the heat in my bedroom shortly.

Do we have any people out there who know Latin??? My coworker wants to know the translation for "bring it on"! I just had to laugh given the number of times we have said that around here. Anyone . . . anyone? WT? This ought to be up your alley. I'm going to see if there is a translator on-line somewhere.

Well, I am going to try to repair the carpet using fabric glue. If that doesn't work, DH wants to try repairing it with a chunk of carpet from the closet. DH was WAY too efficient tonight. Uncharacteristically so. He had picked up all the carpet fibers and thrown them out not having read my mind that I was going to try to glue them back in. The noive!!! So I made him dig them out of the trash

That'll teach him. Yeah. Right.

I read back. For reals. I've just missed too much to comment on.

I read about cold weather, and jogging, and computer problems, and baby "beurk"ing, and carpet, and Scrabble etc.

How the heck are y'all?

I've been working lots. Maybe one of these days I'll see fit to go on a posting frenzy. I know how you love that.

Perhaps I need my sidekick "FJ" to help me out.

We DO love your and FJ's posting frenzies!!! I figure your sidekick is still hanging with family and friends somewhere warm :rolleyes1

Last edited by babynurse1 : Today at 09:31 PM. Reason: Who is learn-ed enough to know Latin?
Certainly not me. Does Twink know Latin? I thought WT knows a tad :lmao:

All I know is "ingbray tiay noay" :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 And I don't think I even did that right . . .

OK, I gave up on working for tonight. I am brain-dead!!!!!!!

Certainly not me. Does Twink know Latin? I thought WT knows a tad

I had several years of latin in hight school, and forgot every single bit of it!
Probably due to the fact that I cheated a lot in latin class ;)

PS: There is NO warmth in Florida for JP tonight!
