It's a late morning for me today but I see nobody (cept Donald...go back to bed!) beat me to the puter!

BIG day in Lexington today! The KY/FLA game is nationally televised at 3:30 today and ESPN GameDay will be here in Lexington for the first time! In case you don't already know, KY's football team has stunk the last few years so have two nationally televised UK games in a row is a BIG deal here. So please think happy thoughts for the CATS!

Twinks....Hope you and DH had a wonderful kid-free evening last night!!! Question: I always thought Goldenchild was a boy? Is that correct?

Marita....My cat loves on my dog too. She rubs her up and down boths side whenever they meet in the house. The dog HATES it. We found the kitty in the parking lot at Target and our vet guesstimated her to be about 6 weeks. She was under a pound and covered with fleas to the point that she was anemic. When we brought her home she took to the poor dog and I think that the cat thinks that the dog's her mother.

NAB....So glad to hear that kitty is working out for you. She is soooooo cute! I'm secretly a cat person. Don't tell anybody.

Moo....Don't blame you for not staying for the game. I like football but won't watch any game in the rain. I prefer televised games. My sofa...the best seat in the house with instant replays.

PJ...I always wished my birthday was NYE. It must be the absolute funnest birthday ever. Or did you get lots of combo Christmas/birthday presents when you were a kid?

Luthor - It was Roman's chapter 11. Is there going to be a mass revival of "Israel" before the Lord returns that will only happen once the last "Gentile" will be saved? Or is the joy Paul is talking about just because it will be so "much more" the salvation of "Israel" after they had already rejected God. The question is this: If we are to assume "Gentiles/World" doesn't mean EVERY person because we know every single person doesn't go to heaven and hasn't in the past, shouldn't we also conclude that every one of "Israel" doesn't mean just because you have pure Jewish blood you are entitled to be saved. Even though they have already rejected Christ? But rather those that are saved. But not a mass saving at the end. We have not reached a conclusion. Next time, maybe. (in two weeks) It was very interesting though. The teacher is leaning towards a mass saving, but my Dad would be the other route.

Today we are hosting a family breakfast. Hopefully my parents will be here sono because I am starved! I made homemade biscuits, that was my part. Chad will do the rest, then I will clean up the mess.

Lexi, I did go back to bed-around 6:30. But I just got up again. Enjoy Lexington's big day, they look crazy on tv. The best line I heard on last week's game was, the fans were so excited to beat a number one team they ran en masse to Rupp and cut down the nets.

OHhhhh! I think I heard that the mama meercat ,Flower, died from a cobra bite....I LOVE MeerKat Manor, but we had to get rid of Animal Planet because it was packaged with the HBO's and Showtimes (ETC) that we never watch and were costing a small fortune every month.

Now THAT is a great show, right there!

I got to sleep till 8:30 and it was WONderful..till Norah decided to get me dressed while I pretended to snore. She picked shorts for me and put one leg in up to my knee and put my other foot , toe first, in to the side pocket and gave up.

In the words of the great Donna Summer (Sommer?): "It's raining, it's pouring.." well, you can fill in the rest, and it isn't "the old man is snoring". EEgads! I thought that was funny!


I went to get Misty's key last night and bid them farewell and load the entire family up on last minute suggestions, must do's, road games, and basically made her panic...I'm going to miss my other baby's and my friend!

Her cat is jumping on the bed in celebration and is planning a big Cat Get-together this weekend...

I went to my sister's cross country meet this morning. She's a little running champ!!! Course, I may be biased.

PJ...I always wished my birthday was NYE. It must be the absolute funnest birthday ever. Or did you get lots of combo Christmas/birthday presents when you were a kid?

I guess I never really cared one way or the other since I don't know what it's like to not have your birthday on a holiday. BUT, it's not like NYE is like Christmas or something where that's all people are thinking about on that day. They can think about me all during the day and then just realize it's NYE at night. We never celebrated my birthday with Christmas. My sisters' birthdays are both in May and they always had to have one birthday party for both of them, so I think I got the better deal. Also, I'll never have to work on my birthday.

I'll think happy thoughts for the cats.

Fascinating show, new season starts tonight. I got it set to Tivo.
I am working on Mommy P's big enough for an adult baby blanket while watching it......

Oh, an interesting fact I learned on the AKL safari trip from the guide (someone brought up Meerkats (must have watching the show), the guide said none at Disney, too hard to keep). Anyway, the babies learn alarm calls from parents. If the babies see something strange, they send out an alarm call. If it's real danger, the parent will return the alarm call. Example: baby spots an airplane, sends out alarm. parent does not respond. so it learns it is no danger. Eagle gets an alarm response from the parent.
There is your lesson for today....

Copper prices were up! Yay! I now have a little money put aside for baby things. Plus some money for the checking account.

Hi everyone!


Don't you just love technology? We are watching football on TV and listening to the Wolfpack beat the Pirates on the laptop AND I can still check the DIS.

We had a lovely time. We haven't been out on a Friday night since I don't know when.

Today we packed up the children and went to the pumpkin patch. A real one out way past Podunk, KS. Usually we go to a fake pumpkin patch (they bring in pumpkins and throw them in a field). Yahoo gave us wIerd directions so we took a detour and spent quite a while driving through the country (we realized our mistake when we saw the Welcome of Missouri sign )

However it is a fine day to ride some horses as we saw many folks out doing just that.



Yes Lexy, Goldenchild is a boy. Did I post something misleading?

Lil' G- I loved the pictures. My favorite was the the little one in the swing with the "what are YOU looking at?" expression. A beautiful family!

Hey, we were there at the same time!!!! It was just me and my 2 sisters and my cousin. Where did you stay? It was my 21st birthday last year. We had a lot of fun that night!!! We went to MGM just for fireworks. We didn't try to ride anything. They were pretty cool.

PJ, I stayed at Pop with four of my girlfriends. We had connecting rooms - it was great even though we were WAY out back by the lake in non-[referred rooms! I think I only took the bus once because one of my friends who lives in Florida prefers to drive to all the parks.

We were at Epcot on NYE day, but left fairly early (5ish) to go back to our room and relax before dressing up a little for dinner at Kona. I don't recall riding much that day either.

E, it is lovely here today too. A great day for being out and about. At the craft show, I found a pillow that had "Oh, Elizabeth!" embroidered on it. Wrong spelling for you, I know, but I bought it for my friend Liz for Christmas. It was made by the mom of a friend of a coworker.

I also bought a bunch of cute little fabric pumpkins. And a Christmas gift for another friend - a ceramic Michigan State University Spartan tissue box cover. She has an MSU bathroom. I think it will look cute in there.
