IS IT FRIDAY YET?

Get up and do the dance!

That You Tube Rocks!!!! I had seen it before, but Loooooove it! Thanks for sharing :flower3:

I think I say all that in any given day...me and Anita Renfroe...are like THIS (crossing two fingers to show solidarity). I love the standing ovation at the end! And when she says "must be your father's DNA" all the mama's nod and applaud in agreement :rolleyes1 because every one knows ill-behavior is not a motherly trait :teacher:

Remember yesterdee when I said "Tut tut, looks like rain" It hasn't stopped! "The rain rain rain came down down down in rushing rising rivulets"....Now snow is forecasted. :yay: Which I love the first snow  I love sledding and tubbing and mobile-ing. Love hot chocolate with mini "wo-wo's", snow hats, warm gloves, shoveling in bad patterns to make DH pissy ;) , Christmas lights, and home made soup. Hate: wet dogs, wet socks on 4 kids, sliding on ice, frozen boogers (ala "Dumb and Dumber"- the best movie ever), frozen fingers from wet gloves, my moon boots, scraping snow off Suburbans, and extended family get togethers which lead to Jerry Springer moments.

Nice tangent, huh?

Get up and do the dance!

Did you know THAT's my Ring Tone????? So no matter where I am, like Walmart, the bread store or bank...I DO the dance! I swear! Ask my kids! :cool1:

I LOVE that movie! I loved Molly Shannon doing the Robot.....I must go buy the DVD and watch repeatedly.
Also love Bruce Almighty. Bruce has MANY good quote-ables.

Morning all,

Celery-- Prays and thoughts to day for Tammy.

Lexi-- love the picture. When you say fall break, is that like our spring break? I am jealous on the no lunch making thing. And why does it start on a Thursday not a Monday?

Babynurse -- I knew you would keep the puppy. Good luck with the little baby. I'm like you love babies. Youngest baby in the family just turned 2. Have to get some nieces and nephews going. Guess we should get some of them married first.

Marita-- hope you do something nice this weekend for your anniversary. Something the two of you used to like to do maybe?

Moo-- you were a great scooter driver. I only saw you crash that first day at AK. When we were in the line for Dinosaur. I am sure you were just trying to entertain us in line....:lmao:

they have free wireless at the hospital. Pretty cool, eh?
Tammy's been in surgery for about an hour. she should be out in another hour or so.

I have major anxiety.
wanna know why?
hehehe.
cuz the ex roommate works here!
eek!
and I'm scared I'll run into him.
I haven't yet.
keep yer fingers croseed.
I'm dressed like a slob and I'm sure he would LOVE it if he saw me dressed like this.
grr.

other than that - I should be doing homework or work work, but why not goof off? It's more fun that way.

babyn - you have bottles for the baby, right? or is he just going to tough it out?

one other weird part of my dream was that I automatically knew how to breast feed and the babies knew how to latch on.
it was weird.
I'm still weirded out by this dream.

and once again, today proves that tammy does not need to be the one to get pregnant. I swear, if I'd been up for it, she would've bolted this morning.

... She has a no sugar added pure vanilla called MaryAnn, part of her tribute to Gilligan's Island.

... The one in Ohio went through the lady's windshield and scared the (what's a goog clean word here, UMA?) out of her. And if you get one this year, put me down for 'bout 10 pounds, I don't hunt, but I sure like eating.

I believe this calls for a "BeJeepers".;) Thank you for consulting!

Tribute to Giligan's Island ice cream??? Whoa! What are the other flavors? "Coconut Radio" for the Professor? "Danger, Curves Ahead" for Ginger? "money, money, money, Mint" for the Howels? "S.S. 40 year old Virgin" for the Skipper?

AND- if you dislike deer meat, you can always "jerky" the whole deer, like we did once. Which is sort of a sin in Utah.

Yes celery, the baby will have bottles. I'm not THAT mean. lol He's just never had one, and that doesn't seem to please 3 month old babies very well.

hope things go well with Tammy's surgery.

Utah: I'll take some coconut radio ice cream, sounds delish.

Luther - Goog advice on using a short first name with a long last name. We like to look goog advice in the eye and laugh at it. Our first born is Michael Jeremiah and we have a long last name. lol We NEVER call him Michael though. I don't even know if he know's it's his first name. LOL

Twinkie - You have twin DAUGHTERS why are you dressing Grasshopper in BLUE if he is a girl? I think you know that he is a boy. You never talk about girl names. Hmm...

Wendy - I am jealous of your cold weather. It is so HOT here. It's over 90 degrees and still humid.
Kaleb can say IsAac almost perfectly, so it has moved up a notch on the list. I think I like IsAac Thomas. I'm sure baby number 6 can be Noah. Hopefully when he is born we'll just "know".

Yesterday on A Baby Story a woman had 5 boys and then her 6th was a girl.

Church was soooooooooooo long. Business meetings in 2 languages are not fun. And oddly enough only people from the English speaking side of the church gave any reports of "business". We never heard anything from the Spanish speaking side. How strange is that?

Thankfully I got my cold stone on the way home. Unfortunately Chad HAD to have some too, even though it made him in a pissy mood. So we had to spend $10.00. Which he WOULDN'T use his money. So now I can't buy sunscreen this week. lol

I think I am going to venture to Walmart this afternoon to get my grocery shopping done. Hopefully Chad will be home before I get home to help me unload. Or I am going to be one cranky Mama.

If you haven't seen this already I believe you will think it is funny.

Wheat Thins

Great post. Thanks for sharing.

I usually watch about half of any youtube link, but that one I not only finished, I saved so I can watch again tomorrow. I got a giggle fit in the middle and missed some. Thanks.
That is even funnier. Picturing the big guy having a giggle fit. Great post DTD. Thanks for sharing.

Why yes :goodvibes ... the glasses, the bangs, the cuteness, the funniness...
RE: naming pets and tiny people.....I like Scout, Atticus, Shadow for the puppies. For the people....boyish people....I still like the grandpa names....Joe, Harry, George, Frank, John, Sam. Classics....Doug, Ross, Russ, Philip? Family names? Your maiden name? Your mother or g-mothers maiden name? Evan, Garrett, Griffin? What about Lincoln? Linc?

Twinkie...is your last name longish or shortish? That important because the poor boys are stuck with their names for life unlike most girls. Also there's the consideration of not ending the last name with the same sound as the beginning of the last name....example Keith Thorpe....or else it runs together like one long name when you say it.
My last name is long and "ethnic" sounding so names need to be classic or of a vague ethnicity that goes with. It may begin with the letter M so William is out. Also the letter B. And the letter T just because we have too many Twinkies with a T initial already. All of our family names are either in use, the name of someone who was a real (insert some sort of Utah approved descriptor here) or are too wIerd. All current children have one name we like and one name that is a family name/meaningful name. Everyone has one Biblical name. Also we don't know Grasshopper is a boy (that that is my feeling) so we really need two names.

Marita: My dh said no way in heck were we having a junior b/c his parents screwed him in the name department (they really did):rotfl:
They really did. Besides in the South it isn't uncommon for 60 year old men to be addressed by everyone (including their wife) as Junior. No thank you. :scared:

Great post. Thanks for sharing.

Melinda- Congrats on Leading the Way!:cool1:

Cel and Tammy- Thinking of you. Hospital days are hard.

My trade secret (which I am sure you know)..... super hot milk. Not enough to burn but at least body temp. Yes I know it kills the wonderful stuff but for one or two feedings the baby will be fine. Nothing worse that being with a hungry baby who won't take a bottle.

Good question. Because we mooved from the east coast to the prairie when the girls where 18 months old and I gave away ALL my girl clothes. I do have some little shoes I think. And in the spirit of anti clutter, downsizing, and sharing the blessings, I have continued to hand down everything. And had a few yard sells.

Didn't you know?

every pregnancy has been my "Last".

I did keep my maternity clothes. I don't know why. :confused3 And cribs and a highchair because they have been in constant use. I don't own a a swing or a bouncy seat or a exersaucer or more than 3 burp cloths at this point. I gave everything away as we were done with it. I do have pink blankets and sheets left over.

And we had two boy names for Goldenchild so we kind of have one left over. But I am not thrilled with it.

For girls we have no names. The only name we both like sounds too much like a name we are already using. Go figure.

I dropped my mouse and lost my post!
anyway, I ran into the stupid roommate.
who wouldn't speak to me!
the nerve!
think I should sue him for the house?
hmmm.

anyway, Tammy came out of the surgery fine. I'm not allowed to go see her though. :(

hopefully soon.
but the doctor said she's already alert.

Baking Soda-

for bad diaper rash 1/2 to 1 cup in a tub

for general cleanliness/itchy bug bites 1/4 to 1/3 cup in a tub

you could probably use less.... I don't measure it anymore but pour a handful into each childs hand. They like to mix it in themselves. I bathe them every night and don't add the baking soda every time. I did for a long time because they had such sensitive skin. Now that diaper rash isn't a issue I find 2-3 times a week still keeps the tub scum free. I do it more in the summer-again they have sensitive skin and it helps with itching from grass, bug bites, etc.

As for where to purchase- I was getting 10 lbs for 3.88 at Sam's Club. Then they changed it to 9 lbs for $4.06.

Now I don't have Sam's Club. I could have sworn I just bought a 6 lb box at Walmart for about 4$ but I was at wallyworld yesterday and was going to price it for you but couldn't find it on the shelf.

Speaking of which, I think next time I'll be passing down to YOU...Norah is in 4T! Size 9 1/2 shoe, size 5 jacket. She's the tallest in her little class. She blends better with the 4's preschoolers and some Kindergarteners (they're all in the same waiting area).

Ok, I looked back and couldn't find WHAT she's in surgery for...so, What? Is she ok? Have you seen her yet? Poor baby!

The ex-roomate, didn't he owe you big money? If so, that's why he's ignoring ya. Not because of your leisure-wear.

Twinkie - Oh my. Be ever so thankful you live where you do. Our Sam's had a bag of it. 12lbs for $10.00.

I put 1/2 cup in Ethan's bath last night and he seems to be less itchy today.

Wendy - Norah is a big girl! Like my Kaleb. He and Ethan share clothes. 3t-4t And he has monster feet. I have a pretty goog feeling that this baby is going to be around 8lbs. Which is fine by me. I hope he's short though. Then they are so cute and chunky. Kaleb was over 9lbs, but because he was so long he didn't look cute and chunky. Only Jeremiah was. He was 8 pounds 3 ounces and only 19 or 20 inches. Also he looked Asian for some unknown reason.:confused3

I think I have you all beat on the big kids. Nicholas is only 10 and wears a 10 shoe. Bigger then his dads. And his clothes are all now a small mens, some boys 18. He is 5'2 and I am 5'5. Nicholas looked like an Eskimo baby, with tons of black hair and slanted eyes....

Hannah is pretty tall in her class to but not as much as Nicholas was.

I wore blue on Hannah for a while because that is all I had from Nicholas. Then every thing went to pink. Her favourite colour now is purple though.

Mommy P-- my dad went by his middle name too because he was a jr.

Lexi-- thanks for the pumpkin site I will have to show the kids after school.

AHA! So your last name is Montessori, eh? Long and ethnic sounding, beginning with M. That's it, isn't it? :lmao: :lmao:

Glad to hear that Tammy is doing okay! :thumbsup2

NAB, your DS is as tall as me! Yikes!

My brother and nephew are First Name Middle Name IV and First name Middle Name V, respectively. We end up referring to them as Big 'X' and Little 'X'. :sad2: DH's family also has this naming affliction in his family - his nephew is First Name Middle Name IV. I just don't see the need........

I am this guy :woohoo: and this guy :yay: today, because I have the next 3 days "off". The hampers are overflowing and the dustbunnies in my dining room are taunting me, however, so there won't be much bum-laying time. :guilty:

Twinkie- Oleson is about as "white-bread" as you can get...:upsidedow

Nab- Nicholas is a biggun! Dallen is in 12 jeans and 5 shoes and he's HUGE for 9. Maybe Nicholas will grow up to some pro sport and make his mama a ton of money!

All my boys were well over 8 lbs...like 9 somethings. Norah was 7 pounds and I thought I was going to break her! I held a 3 pound preemie once, and I was a nervous wreck.
