Happy anniversary, Marita! 37 years....congratulations!!!!!! You and Mr. Marita should absolutely go for a nice dinner this weekend.

Hey, WT...have you been mainlining espresso or something? What's with the posting frenzy??? :rotfl:

BBN, at some point, you're going to need to learn how to say "no". Try it. N-O. Try it in some other languages: Nyet. Nee. Nej. Neen. Nah. See? It's pretty easy. Now try saying it to the next yutz who comes to Crazynurse Ranch with a stray kitten, puppy or goat. Before someone makes a song about your menagerie that starts with "Old McNursey had a farm, E-I-E-I-O". Oh, and lest I forget....1-4-3!

Twink, Moo, DTD, LilL, Melinda, Uma, MommyP, and Celery...

The goog thing about all this room is you don't even notice a puppy running around out in the vast wilderness.

1-4-3 backatcha, lest I forget.

Thanks, Lynette!

I will add another language to the "NO" language bank. NEIN!

sorry had to google.

Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!

But you are excused d/t pregnancy Twink.

You are right. It IS the Shadow. Which would also be good puppy name. See it all makes sense.

Hi, Lynette!

I have a coworker with a black dog named Shadow. She is a sweetie dog!

Marita, here's what you should do this weekend. If you can't make a dinner ressie somewhere at World Showcase, just go around to all the countries and try the different foods and wines. And . . . RENT A SCOOTER when you get there!!!

LOL, I should, heaven knows I cant walk much, I have no strengths in my legs. But I am always afraid I would run people over :sad1:

I'll ask hubby tomorrow to see if he is in any mood to go out anytime soon.

I tried like helk for Atticus, remember? Had to settle for Scout. Oh well, stinkin' kids don't have any taste.

You will wear them down. BBN=persuasive. Demi Moore named her kid Scout. And the DH said he really doesn't want another Luke. I nixed Preston. It sounds too Britney to me these days. No offense any Prestons out there. So we are back to Grasshopper as the legal name.

Oko. I am rambling. I should go back to bed.

G'night all.

Marita, I sucked at driving the scooter the first few hours of our trip, but I think it was partly due to nerves from meeting everyone :rolleyes1

But they are actually pretty easy and fun to drive. And I didn't make my knee any worse from trying to do all that walking after the first day.

Maybe they should offer scooter driving lessons! Like the Segway ones. Disney earns money, people feel more secure riding!

Back in the day, we had a department that would review suggestions and award rewards of some sort. I am not entirely sure what happened to that, but basically now, when you work for the company, you are out of luck for getting rewards for good ideas, mostly, except for special nominations.

We (Finance) would get requests to quantify the savings associated with the suggestions, which was often close to impossible, and very frustrating.

Oh, they always ask if you have used one before, Marita. And show you the basics.

I just kept forgetting to push the button for reverse and then to flip it back to forward the first day. And some of the turns in those queues are pretty tight :rotfl2:

I am partial to Michael, which is DH's name.
But we decided not to have a junior.
It works in formal (as in Michael Eisner), or informal, as in Mike or Mickey.
We settled on Christopher.

GOOG MORNING! :sunny:

Well...who needs chat? You guys chatted here last night! Thank you! At least I'm up to speed since it's all still here.

My 10 yr. old niece spent the night last night. DSIL and DBIL went to see Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello in Loo-uh-vull. :sad1: I love Elvis Costello....Bob Dylan not so much.

Anyway...DS was thrilled to have my sweet niece to himself since DD14 was not home. They watched movies together and are both sleeping on the floor in his room right now.

NO SCHOOL TODAY!
Fall Break! :cool1:

That means I don't have to make the lunches today. Double :cool1: :cool1:

Celery....I already put a good word in for Tammy this morning. Hope all goes well.

Marita....Happy Anniversary to you and Michael!!! And I think Disney could make a fortune on scooter lessons...for what that's worth.

WT...Great posts. Thanks for sharing.

DTD....You SAW two deer get hit? Was it on the Bluegrass Pkwy? Everytime I drive through there at dusk I'm :scared: BTW...loved the veggie song!

NAB....Hope the kids warm up to the kitty. Cats are Soooooo much easier than dogs. NODogLovers.

RE: naming pets and tiny people
.....I like Scout, Atticus, Shadow for the puppies. For the people....boyish people....I still like the grandpa names....Joe, Harry, George, Frank, John, Sam. Classics....Doug, Ross, Russ, Philip? Family names? Your maiden name? Your mother or g-mothers maiden name? Evan, Garrett, Griffin? What about Lincoln? Linc?

Twinkie...is your last name longish or shortish? That important because the poor boys are stuck with their names for life unlike most girls. Also there's the consideration of not ending the last name with the same sound as the beginning of the last name....example Keith Thorpe....or else it runs together like one long name when you say it.

Moo, BNCG, Baby Peej, Lynette, Wendy, UD, and everybody..... :wave2:

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

 Moovers.

PJ: Hope you're feeling better.

Twink: another Luke:rotfl:

WT:
This seems to be the appropriate way to respond to you. Great YouTube. Thanks for sharing.

Marita: My dh said no way in heck were we having a junior b/c his parents screwed him in the name department (they really did):rotfl:

Guess what I get to do today? Babysit. SIL is dropping off my 3 month old nephew, then later this afternoon I get to pick the 3 yr. old up from preschool, rush over to the elementary school and pick up the 6 and 8 yr. olds, and then bring them all back here to mingle amongst my own brood.

And the great thing is the 3 month old has never had a bottle!!! YAY for me. Well wishes would be appreciated today, this could get ugly. It's the battle of the baby versus the babynurse.
