Cheese & quackers?
Moornin,
Tomorrow I start 11 hour days at the fair. I probably won't even walk into the midway, much less ride the rides. BTW Kentucky Kingdom sits on Fairgrounds land is used by the fair as part of the midway. So I'll have an 11 day front row view of the ride the cut off the girl's feet. BN, we're set up in front of Freedom Hall toward the midway. We sell gyroes, at 7 bucks a piece. We're the only gyro stand at the fair. I'll be the one at the window with the beard. Also, I'm not a fan of pineapple, so Dole Whips are out.
I've got one day of real work left, then head to Lou-ee-vil. Stayin with a college buddy. He's online, so I will be around.
ps cel- Peyton Manning is a foogball player. You may have heard his name. He played at UT. I know, blahblahblah.

OMGosh DTD, I am sooo going to look for you. Like I said, we go every year, and eat way too much and have way too much fun. I have seen a gyro stand before, I'm assuming that is y'all.

Everybody we know says Loo-Uh-Vull. OR Loo-Vull. Have you seen that store across from the Spaghetti Factory downtown? They have neon lights in the store front saying:

Louisville
Loo-Uh-Vull
Loo-Ee-Vil
Lewis-Vil
etc.

There might be a brief dismeet at the state fair. Should I write a TR about my adventures?:rotfl:

 MommyP. Goog luck planning the MNSSHP. We went last year, and are still hoping to maybe go this year, but that new a/c unit was unexpected. If I can pick up enough hours at work, we still might make a speedy quick trip down to the world. We promised the redhead, that we would take him back to Universal too, b/c his favorite cartoon character in the entire universe is Popeye, and as you guys know, they had the whole Popeye complex shut down when we there last time. Talk about a broken heart, I had tears in my eyes, just looking at his face when he discovered he couldn't get anywhere near Popeye land.:guilty:

:wave2: Pumba: A trip without kids? I'd NEVER do that.:rolleyes1 hee hee hee. I know you'll have a great time.

I've just been browsing through baby items we need on the Target website and I suddenly had a thought. If any of my sewing friends would like to sew me a bunch(and I do mean a bunch) of boyish burp cloths I would be sew happy. ;) I will even send money for materials needed. I just don't have any sewing capabilities. Nice burp cloths are sooooooooo expensive and I hate having to use ratty old white cloth diapers.

dtd and lex and babyn - I know who Peyton Manning is. He's EVERYWHERE. But I knew who he was back in college. I didn't go to UT, but I had friends who did, and he was all the rage.
And I have one degree of separation from him because Ben played against him. And touched him.
Cuz they held hands to pray.

I even know he has a little brother who plays for a different team. Is his name Troy? I dunno. I would know it if I heard it.
Cuz it'd have Manning at the end. :lmao:

And I also know their dad was a player too.

Ohhh! And my favorite player was "the fridge" perry. I don't know why. he just looked like a big teddy bear to me.

umm. That's about all I know.

Oh. That's not true.
My coach in junior high (coach lane) had a son who played for the panthers who was my age, but I don't remember him, just his dad.
But anyway, he was killed by his crazy wife. :sad2: That was maybe ten years ago. Maybe less.
Time loses a lot of meaning the older you get.
Have y'all noticed that?

pumba - I bet by the time you get back from Disney, you'll be ready for a new set of rugrats.

babyn and DTD again - I love in Elizabethtown when Kirsten Dunst schools Orlando on the proper way to say louisville.

That's a pretty good movie. I should watch it again.
And it has me in it -
Ya know, Utah says I sound like Paula Deen?
Ooooohh -
Lex -
do you sound like Paula too?

Mommyp - what do you want the burp cloths made out of?

twinks - I hope you got a bit more sleep!

I forgot - Tammy has sold our extra bed. It's a queen. And we'll get the payment "later." :sad2:

But anyway, we're going to get bunk beds, I think.
Does anyone know of a good (cheap) place to get them?

Celery - Goog question. What should they be made out of. I will get on that right now. Whatever the cloth diapers are made out of, double layered.

What do you mean:
Celery said: That's a pretty good movie. I should watch it again.
And it has me in it -
?

Yep just what I thought. Cotton Flannel. That's what all the ones sold in stores are made of.

And long enough and wide enough to actually cover your shoulder because the cheesy ones they sell in the stores are so narrow that there is no way the spit up will actually end up on the cloth and not you. lol

I wonder if 2ply is thick enough. What is cotten flannel like? My babies have all been spitters for a looong time.

DTD & BNCG.....I haven't been to the state farr (phonetic spelling) since I was a kid. My mom and I got stuck on top of the ferris wheel and I swung the cart. Mom has never forgotten, forgiven, or recovered. BUT. I'd love to buy a gyro from DTD and look at the cows and horses with BNCG.

Celery....Are you kidding? I don't have an accent! :rolleyes1 Alright...maybe a little. I watched Elizabethtown for the first time a coupla weeks ago. Good movie!

Wendy!!! Do I sound like Paula Dean???

MommyP....You need more baby stuff cause the stuff gets so much better every year! I had almost 7 years between the last two babies and couldn't believe how much more advanced the goods were. And really....who wants a burp pad that's been erped on like 4,000 times? Time for some new stuff!!!

cotton flannel is flannel- the stuff they make flannel sheets, flannel shirts and most recieving blankets out of

and it is all on sale at the Walmarts. If your walmarts has a sewing section.

And of course you need new stuff for #5. Baby stuff for some reason isn't made to last through 4 babyhoods. I, of course, gave alway all my girl stuff when I mooved out west 4 years ago. And my boy stuff was on loan to my friend whose house flooded so it is pretty much gone. So I am starting from scratch (except the crib and carseat) for number 5. It is embarassing really.

Also my MIL used to make nice large swaddling blankets out of one layer of cotten flannel and just hem the ends. She made them square and crib width. They worked much better than the ones sold in stores (which are rectangular and about half the size)

Maybe I should learn to sew while the kids are in school.

mommyp - utah says I sound like Paula Deen and she's in that movie.
I wish I looked like her. I think she's beautiful!
I hope my hair goes gray gracefully and not ugly.

measure the dimensions of a burp cloth you like and pm me.
I bet Utah will make some too.
You'll end up with like 50!
plus blankets from Marita.

lex - I don't have an accent either. Utah is just delusional.

dre - Morning!

Twinks - when will we know what sex grasshopper is?

Celery - I will have to go to a store and open a package  if they don't have dimensions on the package. Mine are all packed away and I don't know when my sister is going to be moving so I can get my stuff.

It shouldn't be so hard to get your own things out of your OWN shed. But since the shed was at my parents both my sisters have used it. The one is fine, her things are neatly stored in one corner, as are mine. My other sister with the dead beat husband just opens the doors and throws things in there expecting YOU to clean it all out to get to your own things. So I have to wait until my other sister has to get her things out to move and then SWDBH(sister with dead beat husband) will hopefully be told(and do it) to move his crap outta the way so we can get ours. He works on Saturdays when we would be over there to get things, which would leave cleaning it out to us, because heaven forbid he get off his lazy butt and do it on Monday when he's off. :headache:

sounds like a pain!
don't go buy some.
Use a towel and fold it til it works for you.
then measure that.

When grasshopper decides to make an appearance. My official due date is Dec 2nd. But lets hope for a Thanksgiving(ish) baby. :thumbsup2

Anyway I was going to say that since I have lived in fine locals such as Me'phis, TN and Podunk, SC and Stumptown, NC (I didn't even change that name:rolleyes: ) it never occured to me to pronounce Louisville anyway but Loo-uh-vull.

I did have trouble on my sojurn to southern Utah where there is a town called Escalante but only "outsiders" say Es-cah-lan-tay. Utahns know it is "Es-ca-lahnt"

And I don't have an accent. For reals. :snooty:

twinks - yellow duckies it is.
Heh.

speaking of town names.
hey lex -

do you live near versails or versailles?
and how do people really pronounce it up there?
cuz tammy says "versails."
so I asked her if she liked "ver satch"

oops,is pretty obvious when i don't poof read..huh? that's me,
"poofing" all over tar nation...been there? done that-
[did correct a few from my last post]..wow..i be in trouble..if i
had to present an outline...in school. sorry ..for "torturing" you
all-:flower3:

are any of you match~makers ? you know, its mostly women hooking
up their friends? i wonder..just how many couples you all are connected
to? did you go to their weddings?

... while my writing skills are not worth mentioning...there are some
good "stuff"...
the problem...is in my writing skills...however, i don't write letters @
work..therefore, its sooo much simpler & effective. - human behaviors,
most often have all kinds of meanings......

so i begin by letting the person tells me his/her feelings....but if i am
going to have an effect...i must have a "measuring system"...that
everyone can understand.

mental health....is very much like being lost in a lost world.:confused3
[ that was my first clue, developing a set of directions well be useful]

buttie, what type of :teacher: would be the most effective for a group
of people already..living outside society norms, to motivate a change
for the better? well,i didn't expect my personal value system..to be
much desired...however,.. who are the most influential people in one's
life?

..."parents and their family backgrounds.",

you wouldn't think..working in ob..would have a dramatic insight for
mental health, but it does...[like every physical aspect..are connected to
our well being]...from working there, i knew just having a baby did not
make a girl into a mother....back in the day, grandmothers, great-mothers,
helped a few weeks after bringing the lil'bundle home.

a~lot of people thinking goes "haywire" [ i  old-fashioned jargon],
just from never being told..the alternatives. & that's where i have produced
my greatest..effects...:teacher: ..very,very simple...funy?..writng
these "ideas"..are so hard...i think because, they go off in every direction
... like a herd of cows...looking for greenier grazing pastures. that's for
you..moo,

so baby cow?..we're supposin you have strong feelings for guys name
peyton...& john? did i ever mentioned, my mother almost named me
peyton?

:thumbsup2 ..i sure hope you guys are passing on..you "feelings toward
life"..especially the happy times...her's one of my poster sayings,
...." one of the best way for others to remember you in a favorable light..
are acts of kindness? otto, be a law what we should be teaching
children?..did i ever mentioned..i like otto's  they're

not only cute & furry..but they do alot of :grouphug: !

pumba- i'm  ....not taking the babies with you??? i bet they would
love it...sorry..i better go lay down now..near the alpha instead of the
wacky-weeds? :coffee:

oh, sorry...i'get sooo :yay: ..but its hard to express...one's feelings when
a person....you can't even rememeber....felt it necessary..to thank you!
[its that type of feedbacks..i am using to tweak my interventions...
did i ever mentioned...i like "thangs" that produce results! [good ones] .

hope :goodvibes ...everyone out there being happy! :rainbow: pixiedust:

..or i going to 'kick" some hiney...! hey~ w.t., what's it is???

 ...c~ girl, i thought i was #1..& here's you are , ..
w.t.?

:scared1: ,

well, this bud ..for you..but iam drinking it? cheers!,

versailles'..i think that's frenchie? did i ever mentioned french's
girls are soo hot.....:snooty: , except my mother- :love2:

..not only , was she french...but a redhair.

Hey Lil g -
I really love you best.
I just tell WT that to make him feel better.
Don't tell him, though!
:love2: :love2: :love2:

And what's an otto?

Celery....I'm just 10 miles from Ver-sails, ya know. When I first moved here I pronounced it Vair-sigh...cuz I'm so sophisticated. Heh. But I was quickly corrected on the local pronunciation. There are LOTS of local-isms here as far as pronunciation goes.

LIL G!!! :wave2: I have pictures from the King's Island just for you! But I have to get DH to bring the camera connector cord home from his office so's I can upload.
