MOOvin' Along - Goog Times, Goog Friends . . . Part 2

up here in Maine........big fat Gray Squirrels are good.....not little skinny red ones either.....they actually have an open season for these.....usually October before deer season........only critter I didnt care for was greasy old black bears....YUCK.....but I love frog legs too.........my daddy and the rest of us kids.....we would go at supper time and wait for the sun to go down and the grumpppppp noise.....and then dangle a piece of red flannel on the end of a hook ......hook them up and then clobber them......those and so does squirrel taste like fancy smancy chicken....delicious.
we are not Maine red necks......these are good honest....

The only time I had squirrel was 30 years ago when my then boss invited me to dinner. It was pretty good. I'd eat it again, but doubt I'd try it now if I hadn't had it before. The greasiest thing we ever cooked was a possum; the fat put out the fire 3 times.
We only do things like that at campouts, however, no disclaimer about being a Kentucky redneck- heck, that's just repeatin' yourself.

It was Poly that went on a cruise, Pumba is our hunter. As you can see...

Heading out to do some shopping. Soon it will be to hard with two kids in tow one wanting to shop and the other wanting to get home to his games.

Have a goog lunch with hubby. Eat something delicious for me.

Do you know what I did yesterday? I forgot to eat. I was so busy doing stuff, and I had drank a diet coke that morning. I was cleaning out the boys closets before we go on our trip, and dd was so sweet to feed the boys sandwiches for lunch, that I realized it was 2 o clock and I had eaten NOTHING.

That is soooo not like me. I'm like Scarlett O'Hara in that respect. Great appetite. I love that scene where they're trying to help her tighten her girdle.

We just found out that our DD's car is practically KAPUT, so we'll probably have to help her find/buy a replacement and maybe drive it down of July 4th. I'm thinking that may involve some belt-tightening for us

I've pretty much decided not to even bother hiring an assistant right now. What's the point, anyway?

So I'll just do all the work myself, with occasional help from another department.

Just got back from lunch with hubby. Nice to have adult conversation that is for sure.

We looked at them on the weekend and were tempted but didn't buy one. Our kitchen floor needs to be done first anyway. Then it wouldn't fit under the top cabinet so we decided to wait.

Uma - So glad your Fridge is here! Yay! Mooooooooooo hoooooooty! Ours has a lock too! It's heaven! I couldn't live without it. Kaleb thinks he can just push the thing and let the ice fall out onto the floor for hours! Ours also has a lock on the doors. It's called a zip tie. Chad ties it shut before he leaves sometimes so I don't wake up to pink yogurt all over the carpet, walls, counters and couches.

Nab - SORRY! I didn't make it sooner to post. I was checking on things before but didn't post. I'm such a bad girl! I was busy this morning watching my prerecorded soap. shhh!

I also cleaned my bathrooms and swept the kitchen.

The boys let a HUGE lizzard into the HOUSE! I can't find it! This is not the same as having a gecko, which we used to always have in our first house. This thing is HUGE and scaley! I think it used to be a dinosaur!!!!!!!!

When is Twinkie going to get back online??????????? How long does it take to move in? On moving day I am moved in. Just like that. I bring stuff over before hand, like boxes, and closets. Then on furniture day by the evening everything is unpacked. Sooo nice! TWINKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We miss you!!!!!

I am off. We have to go pick up Chad's crazy step mom and beforehand we are going to Target and Motherhood(outlet) to look for a new suit for me. Yay!!!!!

UMA-- I didnt' know they had locks on the ice and water. When we looked on Saturday I said that to hubby. All the ice would be all over the floor because the kids would keep pushing it. Glad it came safe and sound. No dents, right colour...?

I do the same thing when we change anything or paint keep going and looking at it for hours.

Mommy p-- Don't really think I could live down there with all those creatures. The kittens must be getting big. Do you still have all of them?

My daughters are still cleaning their rooms. Can't believe they're doing it on their own-
I wanted my husband to work on opening our pool, but he has the nerve to tell me he is too tired! Guess he does need to sleep sometime today

What is with the animals around my house. Last night it was the chipmunks and today birds are flying into the window.

Can I just say that the babynurse clan at the grocery store is indeed a spectacle.


Why does everybody have to crowd around me and the cart? And do you know how many times I had to literally say "Sorry guys, mommy can't carry on four conversations at the same time." I mean I can do two easy breezy, three and I miss a bit here and there, but four has proven to be quite difficult.

I notice people look at us and smile. What's up with that? Like we are there for their entertainment purposes. Ok, so I admit I like to laugh and play jokes on the kiddos, so we can be semi amusing at times. But still. People don't have to stare. sheesh.

Poly-- quick lunch. I am almost embarrassed to say we had McDonald's. We went to Costco first and time got away from us.

Your hubby must be still rocking too and it is rocking him to sleep Poly...

Still had a nice time though since he won't be home until 9:00 or 10:00 tonight.

I told Hannah she has to go to bed on time tonight because she had her head on the table at breakfast this morning. I have been letting them stay up until he gets home. Of course Nicholas hears this and says look Mom I'm not tired. But he did look it.

Nicholas clean up is dusting around things and Hannah's is hiding stuff under the couch and chair in the family room.
