Tonight is the first time I've seen the commercials. Three different ones on VH1.
For some reason, I'm watching the celebrity crap tonight. and I don't think Tammy likes it.

Other than that airport pick-up, I need to get an oil change before our 4th of July trip. And spend some time with my DD. Is anyone planning to see Ratatouille this weekend?

Is this her first child? That would be a REAL adjustment at 47, I think. RE: Cold Stone...we have one a couple blocks from our house and a Graeter's a couple blocks in the other direction. But haven't seen the commercials. Have you seen the Dibs commercial where the guy falls in a big vat of Twinkies??

You know when I went for my first ultrasound with DS, (when they did the OMG inside ultrasound) I was watching the screen and I asked why it said AMA on the screen next to my name. Answer=Advanced Maternal Age.

Twinkie - My ultrasound tech said that if you don't ask to know what the baby is she doesn't usualy know either. Because they usually have to really look to find out and she just does the basic measurements and is done. I asked her about it once because I wondered if she knew after looking at ultrasounds. It's fun not to find out. Make it VERY exciting during those last couple of pushes. I am starting to lean back towards knowing again. lol
I also have never been told about the deli meet. I think contamination is so unlikely that they don't worry about it. I have heard about it, but never been told not too. I'll be darned if I'm heating my sandwiches up.

I see I must have missed some fun last night. Congrats Marita on your new tag! I am surprised the TF is reading our humble thread. Or they're checking up on us. TF have to be webmasters to do what they do.

Marita - I do not mention the tag fairy. LOL! Except to Chad.

And yes it is going to be Noah, as of now anyway. Chad has a way of changing his mind around 8 1/2 months.

We have plans to go to the beach today. Not sure how that's going to play out. It's so foggy out we can't tell if it's clear or cloudy.

good morning kids!

Well, the girls' party was a huge success. They went through a gallon and a half of ice cream and an assortment of toppings. Save for the two toppings in the fridge,you'd never know they had a get together.
Today,the youngest is working at the library and her sister is off to campus to meet up with friends. They are going to Canal Day on the Chesapeake Canal.
My husband's employer, GM, closes all facilities this week for mandatory vacation week. He normally works ,otherwise we would have planned something for this week. so, instead, he is going to finish up the pool and continue on his garden/lawn project.

Melinda- I missed a simple question on Cel's today. got a 10 on the other,but was kind of slow. I'm still in the top ten and missing the days for our cruise kept my score lower.

We started going in August when the oldest started high school. There have been times when the temps here have been higher, plus we have high humidity. By august,we're used to hot weather. It really is a great time to go as a good number of schools are back and the parks are empty. One night, except for CMs, we were the only people in all of Adventureland - it was spooky!

We are going to NC to visit our daughter (who actually flew home yesterday so her dad could help her find a car - they are out doing that at the moment). We'll be visiting the Outer Banks for a couple days while we're down there. None of us have ever been there, so I'm really looking forward to it. Our hotel for one of the nights is on the ocean, so I hope to get to walk along the shore and sit and listen to the waves. We have pretty goog waves on Lake Michigan and the other Great Lakes sometimes, but it's not the same as the ocean. I love looking for shells, but I'm not sure if you can find them there like you can in Florida

Tonight I'm driving to the airport that we'll be flying out of in September to pick up a friend and her daughter who just went to WDW, then spent a week at her mom's. I hope all their suitcases will fit in my car They had to buy another one to bring back all their stuff. And this is after my friend swore she would NOT be buying much in the way of new clothes or souvies down there!!! But her mom usually buys tons of stuff for her daughter and her. We must have done a goog job getting new outfits for my friend's vacation, because her mom only bought her two new outfits this time. Usually she buys her 5 or 6. I hope they boxed some stuff up and shipped it home. The trunk on my car is not very big

Last time my DD came home, she brought me some "shells" from her visit to the beach at Wilmington, NC, but they were all fragments.
