Hello Folks,

Just grasping at straws here, but wondering if any fellow DVC Members are heading to Disney and planning to attend the Moonlight Magic event on Feb 12th @ Animal Kingdom?

We have a family trip planned for that time and we would love to take everyone to Moonlight magic, however since we can only register 10 people (2 owners and 8 guests) we need to try and get the 1 last person in. So wondering if there is maybe a family of 4 going that could register a 5th person and we could meet at the gates to get our last member in?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know registration isn't until Jan 15 or 17, but trying to get a plan figured out if at all possible. I know there is a good chance we don't even get the rest of the family registered, but our fingers and toes are crossed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are staying on your membership, then you can get everyone who is listed on the reservations….if all 11 are, you will be able to register for everyone.

Just so you are aware, two owners from the same account can not register…if you have an points trip, and get tickets with early registration for the maximum number of people on your room, you can’t register for any more guests during regular reservation.

If you care planning, general registration, then your membership is eligible for a max of 5.

The max per contract is 5? We have 4 members on our contract, so with 4 members we can still only register for the general registration for 5 people? I tried to find that info but I don't see anywhere where it says its a max per contract, it just says a max per member.

We are all staying on property but with rented points and its 3 different reservations. But 2 of us are members under the same contract. Seems like these get more and more complicated as we go on.

For Moonlight Magic it is and always has been per membership. So, it doesn’t matter how many owners, just the membership.

So, if you are one membership, then you will be limited to 5, and must do general registration because you aren’t using your membership to be eligible for early registration.

Any of your owners would be eligible to register and bring guests…so, if one was going and not the other, it would be fine. But it doesn’t unlock more tickets.

They limit it per membership.

Make sure all 11 are listed on the reservation. The maximum during registration is based on number of listed guests, not room capacity.

The OP doesn’t have an eligible reservation. They had hoped that each owner would be able to register for 5 to get to 10 in general but because it is one membership, they are limited to 5.

They are staying on rented points, not their own points. So only 5 people. If they were using their points for the stay, then all on the reservation. That is what I've always understood and seemingly conformed by @Sandisw, and there is no one I would trust more for DVC information.
