Moonlight magic Checkin

Does anyone know if you can check in 2 times for your party for a moonlight magic event? One member of my group will not be able to get the the park until 8pm or so, so I was wondering if I am able to just go back to the park entrance when they get there and get them checked in? Or would they give me the last wristband when I check in earlier in the day?

I have read that. I just wanted to see if anyone had experience with a circumstance like this before.
