Moonlight Magic Cancellations

Has anyone had luck getting moonlight magic tickets checking for cancellations?

To the best of my knowledge, they don't release the tickets to booking if you cancel. Haven't for prior events, anyway. They don't have a system to facilitate.

Then why do they keep saying check back for cancellations?
