Monty Dog goes to a National Night Out

Hi all,

Despite the rain, which drove our DJ away, our neighborhood participated in National Night Out by having a neighborhood cookout.

Fun was had by all. But especially Monty Dog! Monty made friends with all the neighborhood kids and with two new dog friends (and even a big snake!).

We had fun meeting up with our neighbors and introducing ourselves to the folks who moved in two months ago. The children on our street had a blast meeting Monty and playing while the adults had snacks. It was great.

Our local fire dept. even gave the kids (and Monty!) a chance to get up close to a fire truck and answer questions.

Here are some pictures of Monty Dog's night. I wish I could have gotten more but was too busy keeping Monty Dog occupied.

Here is Monty getting up close and personal with a 2 year old snake named Mystique. She was actually kind of cool!

And here are Chris and Monty pretending to be firemen. Think Monty could pass for a dalmation?

We had a NNO here in Detroit last night, too! DD did a "Kids Night Out" on Sat afternoon at a local park. She was there to represent her figure skating club and to promote the learn-to-skate program.
