MamaCrush - We got a nice surprise. It's only 75 at 4:00pm today! Don't know what happened, but I'm not complaining!
Patricia - Great start back at it. Nothing like that Mickey medal to get you motivated. At least you have some time to build up to it. I did 4 miles 2 weeks ago, 13 today. I'm on the "accelerated" training plan. I don't recommend it.
Mel - We have one dog who's wicked fast and too strong for me to hold, and one who gets too hot and just stops and lies down. Neither is good for long runs. I was really hoping to have a running partner.

Hooray for purple shoes.
Bounceliketigger - I've considered trying to run to work, since it's only 4 miles, but I just can't get the nerve.
Maura - I'm going to post your quote on the fridge for DH. He totally overthinks every race he does. He'll wake up in the middle of the night obsessing over every detail. It's perfect for him!
Diane - I love your account of running with the dog. I wouldn't even try it, but it would be similar. Start out skiing behind, end up dragging them in.
We've just found a new running place. Similar to Tracy's "Mount Trashmore," it's a recently closed landfill that's been turned into a park. Great trails and greenways, with a killer path to the top of the mound that's perfect for hill training. DH and I did our first run together out there Thursday night.
The injection seems to have moderately helped my hip, although there's still some pain. We may do one more right before MCM if the pain increases; otherwise, I'm planning to keep on training and do the full 26.2. Then we'll schedule the surgery after it's over, and I'll have no running at all for 3 months.
