Saturday, September 18th continued
After a quick look at the exterior of Tooth Fairy the tour had come to an end. It was close to 3 pm. David walked the group to the VIP building located in guest services at the entrance of the park. He asked if we had any questions about the tour. He also asked if any of us would be returning to the park and only 4 of us were returning to park.
If you do not have a park ticket or an AP you cannot remain in the park after the tour.
I noticed as everyone were saying goodbye that only 3 of us out of a group of 12 people tipped David. I’am not sure if people were aware that you could and should tip the Tour guide.
If you feel that your tour guide was fantastic then of course you should tip them.
I liken it to going to a wonderful steak restaurant and having had an exceptional meal. You leave a tip. This is no different.
David is a wonderful Tour Guide. If you ever have the pleasure of having him as a tour guide you are indeed fortunate.
After David had said his goodbyes to the rest of the group he went to get someone from the office to scan AP passes for those of us that decided to stay n the park. This was so we would not have to go back outside the park and come through the turnstiles.
This was so kind and thoughtful of him to do this.
After the AP’s were scanned we went back out the guest services door in to the park.
I decided to walk over to Diagon Alley and have a quick walk around. The plan was to eventually catch the Hogwarts Express over to IOA.
This evening was the first night of the return of the Dark Arts show in Hogwarts.
After getting to Diagon Alley I went to my favorite cool spot to have a seat and rest In Knockturn Alley. Diagon Alley was busy, but not terrible.
After a nice rest and a quick picture I went to King’s Cross Station to catch the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade.....It was really busy. I had almost decided to leave and walk out of the park over to IOA, but I was deep enough now into King’s Cross Station so I decided to wait it out.
I was spoiled to having my own car during the 2020. We were back to being squished like sardines into the train like before.
I remember when the Hogwarts Express was first opened. They would only put families together in each train compartment. Of course now with the amount of people who visit the WWOHP that would not work in getting people through.
After arriving in Hogsmeade I took a look around and it was packed with people. So I decided to leave the area for a quick walk around. After a couple pictures of the entrance I walked out of the back of Hogsmeade by the Castle and over the bridge.
You could see the clouds moving in and it looked a little ominous. The rain was coming
It was starting to mist a little. I had my rain poncho, but I wanted to hold off putting it on as it was so humid and warm.
I walked into the Jurassic Discovery Center and had a look around.
I rode KONG and continued my walk.
