Saturday, September 18th continued
It was about 9:00 when I got off the water taxi. I took my time walking over to Blue Man Theatre. This is were you meet up with your Guide and tour group for the Unmasking the Horror Tour.
Will stop and talk about the Unmasking the Horror Tour. This is a guided tour of selected Haunted Houses that you can purchase. There was a 3 house tour and a 6 house Tour . When you purchase your selected tour you do not know which houses will be on the tour. At least that has been the case with all the 6 house Tours.
The lights are on during this tour. Your tour guide gives you the backstory to each house. The guide will let you know which rooms in the houses you are allowed to take pictures in. So even though there seems to be a lot of photos of each visited house there are many areas were you are not allowed take photos. That is good as you do not want to spoil the overall affect of a house ahead time for people.
If you like HHN and you have the time you would love this tour.
You see so much more and understand the houses better. You see things that are not possible walking through the houses at night.
I appreciate the artistry that goes into the creation of the houses so I look forward to this tour.
At 9:15 we were welcomed in the room. I sat down at a table and they came around with a menu of items to choose from to purchase for lunch at Monsters Cafe. You filled that out and they collected them.
This was a nice change because in the past they came back to Blue Man Group Theatre gave you a set time to go and get lunch. In 2019 We came back to BMG and purchased a hotdog or pretzel.
So this was a nice touch in choosing lunch at Monsters Cafe.
There was a significant price increase this year in the 6 house Tour. So like the RIP Tours I think Universal should include some snack food items and drinks as part of the Tour.
The house tour line up was on the table.

Nice touch the blood splattered frame.
While we were sitting at our table our tour guide walked up and introduced himself. I looked up and it was David. We had hit the jackpot. He is one of the best Tour guides at Universal.
I have had the pleasure of being on his tours a few times. He has been doing tours at Universal for years and if I remember correctly he has been involved with HHN since it’s first year. He is a treasure trove of knowledge and a very fun and nice guy. This was going to be a good tour for sure.
He passed out our lanyards and gave each one of us a HHN pin.
Then he called our group together and there were 12 of us.
Then we were off to Welcome to Scarey Horror in the Heartland. The park was very busy this morning.
Carey Ohio has played a repeat role in past HHN’s. It is full of unexplained paranormal activity and is full of bloodthirsty creatures and maniacs.

Does anyone remember THE DEPTH OF FEAR HOUSE in 2019. There are a few things from that house.

The weird fluorescent green eggs.
These scenes were supposedly under the City of Carey

And THE HIVE HOUSE from 2017

This scene is set up to detect spiritual activity.
