monorail view with 2-bedroom villa Grand Floridian

I'd like a monorail view. We have a standard view 2-bedroom villa at GF. Will they all have monorail views? When to request?

Basically, you can see the monorail from just about any standard view room (except maybe the ones ending in 13 and 25). But you will be better off requesting the rooms on the side overlooking the parking lot, Senses Spa, etc. You will have a great view of the monorail. From the rooms overlooking the pool, you can see the monorail, but it is over to the left, and you do not see it as long. You cannot make this request online. You will need to call Member Services. I would ask for parking lot side, upper floor. On the map, the rooms you would want end in 19, 20, or 24 (these are dedicated 2BR. If you want a lockoff 2br, you have additional choices, but they show on the map as 1BR and studio side by side).

You may need to go through the person who made the reservation for you (or the broker) to add this request. The good news is that there really are no bad views in the standard views at VGF. I actually prefer the standard views to the lake views. But if you want to maximize your chances of the view you want, I would get the owner to make the request, if they will. If you are unfortunate enough to get one of the few villas that cannot see the monorail, you will have a great view of the fireworks.

i really appreciate your help. very excited for our stay at the villas! sounds like you've been there before...how long of a walk is it to the main building, to the Poly, and to the TTC?

The main building is a short walk. The TTC is on the other side of Poly. I have not walked it but I would guess 15-20 minutes.

I recently asked the same question. We ended up in 1324, and it was great. (Kicking myself for forgetting to take pictures but the view was nearly identical to 1424, for which pics are posted on the other thread).

I put in my request as follows:

We would like the highest floor possible (hopefully third floor or higher) with a good view of the monorail. Room ending in 25, 13, 07, 24 preferred. We hope to avoid the first floor and room ending in 19.

Send an email via the member website to MS, you want to add a "traveling with" notation to each reservation referencing the other.
