Do you have to be a resort guest to ride the monorail to tour the resorts?

We'll be staying at Wilderness Lodge in December and checking out on Christmas Eve. After we check out, I thought it would be fun to take the boat to the Contemporary then ride the monorail to the other monorail resorts to look at decorations and get ideas for future trips. Is this okay?

I don't want to do anything that's against Disney rules, we'd just love to see the other resorts. And I don't think we'll get another chance during our visit because our park days are pretty packed.

Thanks!

You'll be fine using the monorail. They do occassionally check ID's for the resort monorail (although I think that mainly just happens at TTC and MK), but any resort ID should be fine.

Kaycee...

Please feel free to utilize the Resort Monorail to tour the resorts. Just keep in mind, during peak times, it might get a little bit crowded. I'm sure you'll really enjoy the decorations at the other resorts, especially the Grand Floridian. That place is GORGEOUS during Christmas time. Last year, they had a large elegant tree, along with a huge gingerbread house. Simply amazing.

One special treat... when you ride the monorail, ask if you can sit up front, in the cab. If it's available, it's a nice little treat. :)
