Monorail question

Hi,

We are staying at Pop and plan to check in and head for our ADR at Chef Mickey's later that evening. My younger son is a major transportation buff and I would like to take him on the monorail....can we just hop on at the Contemporary and ride to his heart's content? Are there other places to stop, we are not going into MK until the next morning.

You can take the monorail from the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, TTC, Epcot or MK whenever you'd like. Just make sure to get off before it closes!

You can explore the other hotels, Polynesian, and Floridian. Also there's a wedding pavilion all connected to the monorail. I can spend a day just doing that. Hanging out at the other hotels, going to the gift shops, eating, sitting on the swings outside...

My DD loves the monorail too and we just ride it for no particular reason. In fact, at night when she is in her pj's, we jump on the monorail to take it for one last ride before she goes to bed at night. She really likes to do this.

You can also get off at MK and take a resort launch over to Wilderness Lodge. The ride alone is worth the time, but Wilderness Lodge is a fabulous place to explore.

There's a boat at the Contemp that goes to WL too.

One night after Concourse Steakhouse dinner DS13 & I wanted to ride in the front of the monorail. We waited about 15mins, got in the front, rode from Contemp and got back off at Contemp, then took boat back to WL where we were staying at that time.

I know the EpCot loop is longer but this was more convenient for us.

Make sure you ask to sit in front of the monorail! It is so much fun being able to see the view from the front.
