I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question, or if it has been discussed in length in the past. I've tried using search but can't get it to work (I can't get it to work 75% of the time I try it). I have a monorail question - and hope that I put this in the correct forum.
This upcoming trip will be my kid's first trip. I know that they will LOVE the monorail, though we really don't have anywhere to go where it is the mode of transportation. We are staying at CSR, and not having dinner at any of the monorail resorts.
We arrive on a Friday mid-morning and are going to Downtown Disney after checking in at the hotel. We have tickets that night for MNSSHP, and plan to relax and rest a bit at the resort before heading to Magic Kingdom. The kids know nothing at all about it (they think we aren't going to any of the parks until Saturday).
I thought that I might catch the Epcot bus from our resort (instead of the MK), and then take the Monorail from Epcot to MK. I think that the view from the Monorail, along with the "ride" itself will be a great "first view" experience for my kids (boys at 6 & 7).
Is that just completely unreasonable? Do you think the CM's will give us a hard time (the kids will be in costume - OBVIOUSLY on their way to MK for the halloween party and not Epcot)? We will be there in mid-September, so I don't *think* crowds (and therefore space on the monorail) will be an issue. How long do you think it will take to take the bus from the resort, to Epcot, and then to MK?
Thanks!
