So sad - but true. And, they had to spend a TON of money to lure Buck and Aikman away from Fox too.

I found him insufferable when watching baseball, too.I think Buck is actually a better baseball announcer to be honest. I can't stand him calling football.
I like the Buck/Aikman announcers the best. I also like the Mannings but feel that B/A are more professional and explain what is going on better.Just sitting here watching my Seahawks and bouncing between the ABC feed of Buck/Aikman and the Manning Bros on ESPN.
So who do you prefer? For the most part, I like the Manning Boys. It can be a little tedious at times but I find it more entertaining and informative than Buck/Aikman.
That wasn't the question. The question was specifically about MNF, and if you're watching MNF (whether you're a fan of one of the teams or not), do you prefer to listen to the ESPN announcing team of Buck and Aikman, or do you prefer listening to the ManningCast.Honestly who chooses what game to watch based on the announcers? Isn't it more that you like those 2 teams and whatever network happens to broadcasting that particular game is what you watch? Networks spend millions on broadcast teams and not exactly sure what that accomplishes.
True, true and true. I just don't understand how B & A get paid the big bucks anymore. My disdain for Buck stretches back to the 2004 World Series broadcast. One could easily tell that Buck was rooting for the Cardinals because of his dad's history with the team.Manning Cast all the way. If I hear Joe Buck say "here along side the Hall of Famer, Troy Aikman" one more time, I'll probably through something at the TV. Yes Joe, we know Troy is in the HOF, and if we didn't, you've now told us 937 times. You know, there are quite a few other guys in the Hall, many of them quarterbacks, some with even more Super Bowl rings...
Two more years, and both Mannings will be in the Hall anyway. I'll take 2 over 1 any day (and they know 4 times more football). Aikman also rivals Chris Collinsworth for the most overuse of hyperbole in sports. At least once per game, you're treated to "You know, John Doe is arguably the best corner back in cover-two on third down and long yardage in the National Football League today".
I agree with you. At least now Buck is relegated to football. He is so vain and loves to hear his own voice. He can take his little piece about his hair plugs and disappear into the night calling some games for a minor league triple A team. When Buck was 'exclusive' to Fox he was announcing what seemed like everything! Golf, baseball, tiddlywinks...you name it and he was there. At least with ESPN he has just football duty and I can handle him in small doses.
I am a total Manningcast gal. Love the banter, love that they rag on each other and while the guests can be hit or miss I catch it every Monday. Last night was their last for the season.
But will he take the Hall of famer, Troy Aikman with him?He can take his little piece about his hair plugs and disappear into the night calling some games for a minor league triple A team.
I loved watching Red Sox games with Remy and Orsillo. I will never understand why NESN let Don Orsillo go.Come to think of it, there are not many broadcast teams I like across pro sports. Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit are solid.
Doc Emrick was amazing when he was calling NHL games
We have been so spoiled in the LA Area. If they replaced the Hollywood sign with a Mount Rushmore of Bob Miller (Kings), Vin Scully (Dodgers) and Chick Hearn (Lakers) I don't think anyone would mind.True, true and true. Me either. Dave O’Brien is such a bore!!! Awful to listen to. Especially when he talks about his pen collection!!I loved watching Red Sox games with Remy and Orsillo. I will never understand why NESN let Don Orsillo go.
