Mom had her mastectomy Wednesday and did very well, very little pain and was up and around quickly. They sent her home Thursday afternoon and she's a little sore but doing well. Thanks to everyone who sent a prayer up or a good thought her way. :)

Now Tuesday I'll have my thyroid surgery. I had my pre-surgical testing Thursday so I'm glad to have that out of the way. Now if I can just get through the IV getting started. :eek: I'll just be glad when it's all over and praying the nodule is benign. Trying not to worry until I have something to worry about. :D

Glad your Mom is doing well. Good luck to you next week and I'll say a prayer for you.

So glad to hear about your mom. Hope her recovery is quick.

Now for you...Good luck and I will keep you in our prayers.
Please let us know what you find out.

PD and Hugs!

Glad to hear that your mom's surgery went well. I wish her all the best as she recovers. And all the best for you with your surgery next week. I pray that all goes well for you. {{hugs}}

Very glad that your mom's surgery went well.

Sending you Prayers and Pixied Dust for next weel. Hope everything turns out well.

I'm glad that your mother's surgery went well. I hope that her postoperative treatment is easy and successful for her.

I have a dear friend who had a total thyroidectomy and she did not complain of much pain, not even the day of the surgery. I hope that you are just as lucky about that as she was.

I am praying that the nodule on your thyroid is benign. I know how frightening the "wait" can be for this type of issue. You will be so relieved when the surgery is over and the pathology report is back and tells you it's negative.

Its great your moms surgery went good.

Good luck next week, the IV will be nothing, its just a grain of sand in this great journey called life.

Ill pray

Thanks, everyone, for your prayers, good thoughts and hugs, I really, really appreciate it.

But Blinky, the IV is the worst part of the whole thing that I'm dreading the most...well almost the worst part...waiting to hear if it's benign or malignant is the worst, but the IV ranks right up there...had one for my gall bladder surgery in '77 and another for the myelogram test I had to have done 3 summers ago and hated both of them. I have hard-to-find veins and I hate being "poked" more than once and the IV's are just so...so...so...
cumbersome I guess is the word I'm looking for. With all that liquid going into you, it has to "come back out" and I hate dragging the thing with me to the bathroom, or worrying about it getting plugged or something and they have to poke again to restart it, or worrying about getting it caught on something, I don't sleep well when I have one...oh gee, I know I sound like a big baby but I just hate 'em!!! :)

Glad to hear that your mom did so well. I'll be keeping the both of you in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted. {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}

sorry chattyaholic, just know that I support you and Ill pray
