I was wondering if there are any moms that do the swing shift. I start a job Monday with an awesome company. After college graduation I decided to stay at home with the kids for 8 years. Now that they are all older and in school I decided to go to work. Dh has a great job. Normal hours. Unfortunately in my Degree area, I will have to start out on a swing shift anywhere I go, especially with my huge work gap. What is great is that I will usually have 4 days off a week, so me and the kids can do stuff then. I want to hear from moms that do this successfully. Thanks.

I work swing shifts. I think it works out pretty well....I can be at home during the day in case DS is sick or there's a field trip or to do grocery shopping and the like.

Like you, I have 4 days off, too, so that helps. DS goes to bed around 8 or 8:30, so mainly I'm just missing TV shows at that time of night, and I have a DVR for that.
