I have a serious question for you.

WHEN do their feet stop growing????

This may sound silly but my ds is going to be 12 next week and he wears a size 11 mens shoe :faint:
I am having nightmares of special ordering shoes from some giant boy catalouge!

:rotfl2:

He is definately due for a growth spurt cause he isnt tall enough to have that size foot.

Somebody tell me this is normal! please.

You got me - I have an 11 y/o with a size 10.5. :confused3

My 15 y/o is done, and has been done for maybe 2 years.... but I think it depends on the kid.

I can share shoes with my 11 y/o - not that I do, but if the need arised. :lmao:

Dear God, I hope by 14! My DS is in a size 12 and he's 14. This just has to be the end of it.

Since he's my oldest, I guess I really can't help you.

Look at it this way, though, we won't have to buy them skis!

I don't know. My 14 yo wears a 13 shoe. I'm kind of hoping he stops here.

My youngest brother wears size 13 or even more since he was about 14...

My DS always wore the same size shoe as his age... 10 when he was 10, 11 when he was 11....... he wears a 14 now so it stopped when he was 14. He was really glad, I'd hate for him to be wearing a size 20 now!:scared1:

Scared here too, age 11 and size 10.5
We've been buying Starburys. Stephan Marbury, the NBA player, has designed inexpensive clothes for people who like sports clothing. Shoes for $9.98 to 14.98 a pair. Hoodies, pants, t-shirts starting at $6.98. They can be had at Steve and Barrys clothing store. Mr. Marbury got tired of seeing parents use their grocery money for shoes for their children. Bravo!!!

My ds wears a size 13, he's 17 now and he was around 15 when the feet stopped growing.

I'll have to keep an eye on this thread - my 12 year old is now in a size 10½ shoe - and still growing. :rolleyes1

How tall are all these other boys mentioned on this thread? My son is about 5'4" as of last week.

DS wears a size 11, he is almost 17 and I think *fingers crossed* he is done. He has been an 11 for almost 2 years now.

DH only wears a 10

When do their feet stop growing and WHEN DO THEY STOP EATING??? :confused3

My son's feet size has matched his age since he was 10. He's now 14 1/2 and wears a 14 1/2 shoe.... :scared: HEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!

My DS is 13 and wears a 10 1/2. I seem to buy a new pair of shoes every 3 months and I make sure to leave room for growth. When I asked the guy in the sneaker store what age do their feet stop growing, he starting laughing. Last year this time he was a size 7.

well at least we are not alone!

My ds is short for his age but with that size foot I cant imagine he will stay that way for long.

I keep thinking about the Monopods, If youve read Voyage of the Dawn Treader in the Chronicles of Nnarnia you will know what I mean :rotfl2: when the kids landed on this island they found what they thought were mushrooms but they were actually people with one large foot who slept on their backs with their feet in the air to protect them from the rain.

Ok that was mean but I cant help it, poor kid! :rotfl:

Only help I can offer is my own experience - I am now 34 and wear a size 15 (for most shoes on rare occasion 16 for dress shoes) and my feet stopped growing when I was between 15 and 16. And just for a fun perspective my dad wears a 10 1/2 which was the size I outgrew in 5th grade!

That is cool, thanks I am going to try to find that. What a great guy :)

I'm wandering same for all 3 of my kiddos!

DS is 14 - wears size 13 shoe and is 6ft tall (one more inch till he passes dad and he can't wait!). It's so funny to look up to him now.
He wears mens size 29X32 pants.

Now my poor girls----my 11 yo and my almost 9yo both wear same shoe size...a womans 9 and sometimes even 9 1/2!!!
Do you know how hard it is to find a nice dress shoe for church that isn't a 3 inch heel?! LOL
I confess to wearing size 10 womans but I know my feet were not in a 9 at age 9!!!
My 11 yo is 5'6 and my soon to be 9 (in less that 2 weeks - we are going to BBB for her b-day to have her hair done like a princess!) is 5'3.
I think I'm raising giants! hehe

My sons' actually have small feet. They are adopted. My oldest was born in Korea, and my youngest was born in the Phillipines, so maybe its an american thing. They are also just over 5 feet each. :cool2:

FYI!

When I graduated HS @ 17 i was 5'10 with a size 10 shoe. At 21 I was 6'3 with a size 13 shoe.....Growth spurts happen after HS!

But then I HAD to buy all new clothes myself, so thats good news for parents!:thumbsup2

the funniest part of this growing feet thing is to watch them run. our ds has played baseball since he was 4 years old. when he turned 13 his feet grew seemingly overnight. the first time he ran the bases that spring was hysterical. it looked like he was leaning way forward. so awkward - plus he was tall and thin. the videos are so cute. now, he's 18, he's leveled out and
carries himself so well. he's still tall and thin but he's got that athlete's gracefullness when he walks, stands, etc. things will work out - just enjoy the time now because they grow so fast.
