Welcome everyone! This is my first trip report on the DIS. This report covers my solo trip, April 19-25. I’m a married mother of 3, and work as a site lead for a mental health agency (which basically means I run the office) and also serve as a therapist. I’m also a Beach Body coach and working on my weight loss journey. As you can imagine, I’m very busy, and often don’t have time for myself. That’s basically how this trip came to be.
A little history: my first trip was in November back when I was in sixth grade. It was my grandparents, my sisters, and me. Then, I didn’t go again until last year, in November again (2015). That trip was good, but very stressful (due to personal issues that I will spare you). Nonetheless, that trip rekindled my love. Watching my girls experience it the first time was amazing, and I fell in love again. So when we got back, we immediately started talking about when to go back. Because my husband is not the Disney fan that I am, I began planning a trip with my best friend, who also loves Disney. We decided it would be a “Mommy needs a vacation” type trip. No husbands or kids. But then she had to back out. So, after discussion with my husband, we decided that I would go solo.
So, since this is my first trip report, let’s start off with some basic info about me:
Favorite park: Magic Kingdom, although Epcot is a close second.
Favorite Disney movie: That would be a tie between The Little Mermaid, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, and Inside Out. Nightmare Before Christmas has been climbing the list rapidly lately.
Favorite Disney
Ariel
Favorite Disney character: Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas
Favorite quick service: Columbia Harbor House
Favorite table service: Beaches and Cream at the moment
Favorite rides: People Mover, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Splash Mountain
