I wasn't going to get these but now I'm so glad I did. Everytime I do dishes, they make me smile. So it's definitely worth the price!!:rotfl2:

What a great trip for you and Rachel!

I almost had a chance of a trip with some friends in January that would have coincided with your next trip, but DH thought better of it. :furious: JK, I would have felt too guilty being there without DS and DH anyway. At least thats what I tell myself now. ;)

oh bummer!!

I would HAPPILY go to WDW without DH and the kids!!

And we have that same Minnie cookie that we have resisted eating for just the reason you are showing!

It makes for great photos!!:rotfl2:

Wow, looks like such a GREAT trip! I bet my 14 year old could eat $25 worth of dessert, not sure about the rest of us, but I would love the reserved seats.

Quick question, we're trying to figure out what time we have to leave WDW in January. What time did you leave Disney to check into the autotrain for your return and did you get the early (5ish) dinner time? We're early dinner folk, but would love to have some time in the morning to enjoy our resort or DTD before we leave.

It was fun trying to eat $25 worth of desserts!!

We generally try to leave a Disney park around 12:30pm, so we do our last ride at 12 noon and wander out. Then we get gas, stop at McDonald's for food to eat at the station. It takes about 40 minutes to get from WDW to Sanford. So we are usually there about 1:30pm to check into Amtrak (2pm was the latest when we ran into traffic).

We have always gotten the early dinner service when we wanted it so this must be a good time. However, the station is generally more than 1/2 full at this time so some people get there a lot earlier than us!!

I would definitely aim to get there before 2pm if you are dead set on the 5pm service. Better, if you can do 1:30pm, if you know the train is full (you can go on-line and try to make a room reservation. If you are denied, then you know the train is full).

If for some reason, the 5pm is is already full, you can always ask your Sleeping Car server to bring the food back to your room for you. Of course, be prepared to tip him/her for that (but you have to tip the waiters in the dining room too, so it's not much different).

If you are doing coach, I think you can ask your server to do the same, but I'm not sure on that.

So yes, you can still spend some time in the parks or at DTD or your resort on the day you depart.

HTH!

you are blowing through this now

Anxious to start your Pre Trip for jan? :yay:

Looks like a great last day. Rachel looks so relaxed on all thrill rides. That's great she is into them

Looks like she got a lot of great souvenirs. I like the towels you bought. They are super cute

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. It was a fun read pixiedust:

Yes, I figured 3 months after the trip is over, so should the TR!

And yes, I can't wait to share with you our January trip -- which is about 74 days away!!

yes, Rachel likes the thrill rides -- although not Space Mtn or Tower of Terror. She still doesn't like the dark rides that go fast or drop quickly.

We got a lot of Disney stuff this summer. I was proud of Rachel b/c she is now asking for gift cards for Disney for her birthday and is using them to buy (most) of her stuff. Plus she did chores to earn money.

Thanks, as always, for joining and reading another "marshay trip report"!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info! I forgot about being able to eat in your room. Since we booked roomettes and our train on the way back looks much less full (looking at ticket prices), I think we'll spend those last few hours and hope for the 5pm. ;)

Yeah, since it is January, all of the snowbirds won't be coming back from FL yet, so northbound trains shouldn't be that crowded!

My real life has been so busy that I didn't get to post much but I really enjoyed reading along! We just got back from POP and our usual is POR/POFQ. It was my DH's first time at a value and probably the last! It wasn't bad at POP but he really missed the differences.

It looks like a great trip and such sweet memories!! :goodvibes

Thanks for posting! Yeah, I hear you about the differences between value and moderate. I think Disney does a great job with value ... I just prefer all the extras because they do an even better job with moderates ... And of course the deluxe/villas are even more!! We like to take the time to explore a resort.

Yes, it was a great trip. So many wonderful memories. I want to do it all over again!

Would like to join in FE for jan. 17 cruise. What are the steps in learning all about it.

Oh, are you on that cruise? We have a thread on the Cruise Line forum for you to join. FE #1 is full but #2 is still open. Send me a PM to your home page in FB, and I'll send you a friend request from Me (Marsha). Once you accept, I can add you to the FE and get more info from you.

Any chance on starting a pre Trip soon?

Your trip is so close

:dance3:
