HELLLOOOOOOOOOOO everyone and :welcome: to another of my PTR's!!
I have JUST (as in last night) finished my TR from December, which you can find here, so the obvious thing to do was start the cycle all over again!!

For those of you that are new to my madness, I will give a little intro to the cast.

There's me, Stephanie (aka Mommy), 27, lifetime Disney lover. I have been to WDW 11 times, Disneyland Paris once, and DLR many times (we lived in CA for 6 years). I always knew I loved Disney, but I am not sure I realized how much until I introduced my son to the magic

Jack will be 3 in April, and this will be his 4th trip to WDW. He has also been to DLR at just 4 weeks old. He loves all things Disney. He is a huge fan of Disney/Pixar films, and we own almost all of them. He loved talking about WDW and he calls Mickey all the time on his "cell phone" and invites him over for dinner. He's has recently gotten into a lot of the Disney Junior shows, Special Agent Oso, Handy Manny, and Jungle Junction being some of his new favorites.
Here we are on our last trip, during a rare moment of good spirits (Jack threw an astounding number of tantrums during our Dec trip)
ry%3D400

As the title suggests, this is our second trip to WDW in the fall, the first being last year. (TR here) I definitely learned a lot last year, it was the first time Jack and I had been on a trip by ourselves, and it took some adjusting, but it was an awesome vacation. We had such a good time that I just couldn't stop myself from booking another trip under the FD promotion. The deciding factor was that Jack and I will have both earned free flights through Southwest by May, so our flights and food will be free. Of course this will also be the first time Jack has been a paying customer at WDW, so the total cost is probably similar to last year when we did pay for flights, but oh well.

So here are the details so far...
Dates: September 26-30
Resort: Pop Century
Free QS dining
MNSSHP 9/27 (assuming the MNSSHP days continue to follow past patterns)

I promise to keep this PTR as interesting as possible!!!

Can't wait to hear all about Mommy and Jack's trip plans!!!

We'll be there is the beginning of the month staying at POP also.

Aren't Mommy and me trips just the best???

HI - just read your entire December trip report tonight and DD (23) and I will be there in Sept almost the same time as you and Jack. Currently we are at the PORS but might change it to the POP. We used to stay at the values a lot (also single mom) but got spoiled with the moderates (CB not one my favorites) when we did the cruise land/sea package. We are staying at the POP in May when we do the scavenger hunt with D23 so if we still happy with it we might downgrade to it to save some money.
A little something I learned in Dec with the MVMCP is that the ornament I wanted was sold out when I went that night to purchase it (also meant to go early but had to see Belle & the Beast:rotfl:) but the CM did tell me to check back the next time I was in the MK - I did (brought my tickets with me in case) and checked at a couple of stores and the Christmas store in LS they were awesome - they went downstairs into storage to get me the ornaments:cheer2:.
The first time my DD and I went to Disney she was 5 (my first trip too) and most off the vacations we have taken have been to Disney because it is so magical. The magic doesn't end when they grow up - now she makes it more fun for me because she so gets into the planning. I will get texts during the day when she finds something new on one of the Disney sites or on the DIS. Also, because it just me and her time because she now lives with her boyfriend. The trip we took in Dec for the first time in ages it was just her and I (couple of trips with family & friends) and I think it was our best trip (except for freezing) and she was still my little girl:love:

Oh god, tell me about it. I want spring to be here already!

I have decided spring is here. It's sunny today, it's March, I painted my nails pink, and I will start tanning this week. (I have a wedding I need to be tan for). Also I am going back to blonde hair on Friday, which means spring is on!!

I'm here! Looking forward to hearing your plans! :yay:

:welcome: It sounds like you and your daughter have a great relationship! It's nice that Disney is "your" time. I have found that the trips are easier with just the two of us for the simple fact we get to do what we want to do.

As I mentioned before, we are currently booked under the free QSDP which means that each day we get 2 QS meals, 2 snacks, plus our resort refillable mug. I am planning on getting into Orlando later this time, basically with enough time to eat a late dinner and go to bed. That way we will still have our credits left, so we can have breakfast our departure day. This worked well for us last year. Also I am planning on doing 1 or two TS meals that we will pay OOP for. Here's an overview of my plans so far:

September 26th
Arrive late (8 or 9 pm)
Eat late dinner/snack at Pop

September 27thMNSSHP day
Sleep in
lunch at DTD- I MUST try Earl of Sandwich. MUST.
dinner at Columbia Harbor HouseSnacks at MNSSHP- Popcorn will be one of the snacks for sure. Jack LOVED the popcorn in December. Perhaps an ice cream cookie sandwich (except now I can't remember where we get those?)

September 28th
Epcot
Kona Cafe OOP- for breakfast on our way to Epcot. This is a MUST do. I really enjoyed it last time, and it's pretty cheap.
late lunch at Sunshine Seasons
late dinner at Cantina de San Angel

snack credits WILL be used at Karamel Kuche! I refuse to be denied this trip!!

September 29th
Animal Kingdom
Tusker House OOP- this is also a must do breakfast.
lunch- don't really have a plan for a QS place in AK, any suggestions?
dinner-probably either Pop or DTD at Wolfgang Puck Express which we really enjoyed last year.

September 30th

Breakfast at Pop before packing up and heading to the airport.

We will probably eat lunch at the airport. MCO has plenty of good restaurants!

I am also going to book ADR's at Chef Mickey's (dinner) and Le Cellier (lunch) just in case I for some reason decide to upgrade to the DDP. I have thought about it, it would be another $80, plus tips, and we would get half the snacks and no mug... I just don't think it's a good deal for us. But there is a small possibility of Jack's godfather coming along (it was very briefly mentioned over the holidays) and if he came, I would want more ADR's so he could experience more. Otherwise, the QSDP really is the best fit for us. Tusker House OOP is a bit pricey, but Kona Cafe will be cheap since I think Jack and I will probably split the Big Kahuna platter.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I think it's a snack credit, but I'm not sure. I didn't get one. I know there's a thread on the dining boards about the snack credits :)

Sounds good! I'm planning to sleep in on our MNSSHP day as well & probably either hang out at the pool or stop by DTD until around 3 or so.

Not sure where the ice cream cookie sandwiches are but check out http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm

I LOVE looking over all those great menus!!! :thumbsup2

As you already know, Kona will be a first for me on our September trip! I can't wait to try it! Glad to hear its pretty cheap in case we need to pay OOP for a meal, I will choose that one!

We eat at Sunshine Seasons every trip & love all the options!

I've never eaten at Karamel Kuche :confused3

I agree about Tusker House!

For QS at AK I would recommend Yak & Yeti. I got a meal in 2009 & thought it looked so tiny but it was sooo filling! I got the Sweet & Sour Chicken & it came in a little basket with noodles & veggies! It was wonderful!!! My husband ended up with a frozen lemonade. They have chicken and burgers for kids meal options & they get 2 sides and a drink with their meal!

Advice/suggestions above in Black Font! :thumbsup2

Hey Stephanie! I was just reading a bunch of articles on Mouse Savers and found out where the ice cream cookie sandwiches are at Magic Kingdom!!!

Here's what it said!
"Sleepy Hollow refreshments in Liberty Square makes fresh, delicious and large ice cream cookie sandwiches for $4.19"

Hope that helps you!!! :goodvibes

Hey Steph, plans look great... :) As far as a QS place at AK what about Flame Tree BBQ??? Or Yak & Yeti also has a QS location that is pretty good as well.

Hello! Stephanie

subbing along...my family will be staying at the POP at the later part of your week. We are checking in on the 28th!

your plans look great! and how fun that you and Jack are enjoying the magic at such a wonderful time in his life.

I, too, plan to make ADR at Tusker House on the 29th; so, we may end up crossing paths at some point. Like Reese I suggest Flame Tree BBQ, although my DS would probably enjoy pizzafari more (we have not tried that one yet). Usually, at AK when we eat breakfast we skip lunch and normally just do an early dinner at the resort.

and, yes you must try EoS! especially if you enjoy really fresh sandwiches, salads and/or soups. I love their tomato soup (and I don't like ts)... I like your idea for Kona Cafe. This is our first time on the DDP; our last two trips DS4 just ate off our plate for the most part.

looking forward to joining you on your planning adventure!!

Thanks for joining in!!! Maybe we can find more Dissers that are doing TH on the 29th! It could be a party !! :dance3:

That's a good point about skipping lunch... I guess it will depend on what we have accomplished. I want to be able to catch the parade, and if we do that we will def need lunch... Flame Tree looks yummy, but Jack would also probably prefer pizza.

I can't wait to try EoS. We are actually going to San Antonio in May and they have one there, so I might literally not be able to wait! We will see...

If you see us at the Hippy Dippy pool, come say hi!!

I'm going to head over to your PTR now!

I have good things about both places, so maybe the question should be, where should we NOT eat :lmao: We will probably play it by ear and eat wherever is closest when we get hungry, unless there are certain places to avoid...
