We found the same thing regarding the Kidcot stops, they were kinda out of the way. Even using the map, we had a difficult time finding some.

Wow they sure do make it difficult to find the Kidcot stops. Can't believe you managed to pass Karamell Kuche and not go in - don't think I could do that!

I really felt like I could have been in that country. It's amazing that Disney can recreate the places so well.

You really do have some amazing photos. They are probably the best I've seen of World Showcase. Being someone who has not been to WDW yet, it really gave me a better idea what to expect. I cannot wait to read/see more!

Thank-you, I'm so glad we set aside one day just for the World ShowCase. It gave us the time to check it all out. I think it's just amazing what Disney has done to represent all the countries.

I was a couple of updates behind but I'm all caught up again. Love love love Kadence's Belle dress. She looked so pretty in it.

Your pictures in the Mexico pavilion came out way better than mine. Mine always come out so dark that you can't see all of the lovely details.

Oh my word! I laughed outloud at the picture of Sam in Italy. So reminds me of something Lacey would do (or any of my family for that matter).

Where were the crowds? I don't think I've ever seen World Showcase that empty.

Kadence loved wearing it. She only changed because the hoop was getting in her way. If you could have seen her face everytime someone would call her Princess. I told Sam I was taking pics of whatever face she gives me!
The sun was shining right down on Mexico at the time we walked through, and there wasn't ever a time through the whole showcase I felt crowded.

It was a great day, 75 & sunny. Pick a pearl is next, when I get home. I wish I was there now, it been a long day with issues!

The girls looked over their choices while another family finished with their pearls.



Sam was having a hard time choosing, big oyster or ugly one?

(in the above pic,see the Mom & kids by the counter? Well when the CM brought the oyster around, they wouldn’t let my DD’s close to the counter. I explained that it was my DD’s turn and asked them nicely to let my DD’s move close to watch. They refused to move saying they were there first and wanted to watch. Thankfully, the CM asked them to step aside. I was amazed at how rude some people can be. Luckily, for the lady my foot stayed in my shoe and not up her behind!)

The CM taught the girls how to count down to 3, (san, ni, ichi)

Kadence got a beautiful pure white 7 ¼ size pearl.



The CM did make a big deal out of opening the girls’ oysters. Samantha's oyster was next, then a SUPRISE!

YES! I had said in my Pre-TR I hoped that one of the girls would get twin pearls so I could have one.
Sam’s pearls were lightly tinted pink and were both size 6 ½







Not so hidden Mickey

After drumming on the drum and showing the pearls around the CM put them in bags and we moved over to table by the Kidcot stop so I could place the pearls in to their pearl cages. They look so nice.

We did browse in the gift shop and Samantha bought her Grandmother a beautiful card in shape of a fan, and asked one of the CM’s doing the passports if she could write her Grandmother’s name in Japanese on the back. Sam gave it to her for her b-day last week and she was so touched she cried.




BONSAI !


Sorry couldn’t resist, DH and kept saying it, and the funny thing…..Sam didn’t get it. I tried explaining, but if you’ve never seen Karate Kid (and I do mean the original) I guess it wouldn’t make sense.

Looks like they raised the prices for pick a pearl. What do they do with the oysters afterwards. Do they put them in another tank to start an new pearl or what?

I was pretty shocked when the CM said that we should look close for we were lucky to recieve 2 pearls!
Sam and her Grandma is funny story. They seem to just get each other. Everyone thinks Joyce ( Sam's G-ma) is an odd duck, but Sam thinks she just has a free soul.
My DH and I are kind of 80's movie fans, so sometimes lines from the movies come out! Sam thinks we've lost our minds most of the time!

The pearls both fit in the pearl cages fine. I think that the cages would have fit up to an 8 1/2 size. I'll see if I can get a pic up of how they look.

On manners day, they skipped school

To be honest, I don't remember, ugly or large I just know Sam was pretty proud of herself
