I logged into my work PC on Friday to discover that the DIS was blocked

But I logged back in today to find I can get on :banana::banana::banana:

I think that my complaint to the Internet Team about how silly it was being able to get onto certain message boards (like ones about guns!!) and not this one was atrocious!

My Dh had Dis boards blocked too at work lol he has also contacted them to see if they will allow them to access it!
Althoughi have to say I think Dh should be WORKING:laughing: not looking at Disney sites!!

Hahaha I'm glad I'm not the only one!!

When I spoke to IT they gave me the usual "ohh its not work" etc etc. I replied that I can get access to BBC news and Daily Mail online, how was that anymore work related than the DIS?

I was unable to get onto the DIS at all from home from Thursday night until Tuesday night. I could log in just fine from work. There seemed to be some problem with certain anti virus programs as the previous weekend those using Avast had issues. Most recently it appeared to be the McAfee users' turn :rolleyes1

As for blocking the DIS in workplaces ..... that's why we have smart phones :lmao:

Vodaphone have blocked WDWnewstoday.com for some reason, telling me I have to have the adult restriction lifted from my account. :rotfl2:

I had problems getting in to the DIS from work on Friday too. It said something about reasons for the site being blocked including excessive usage and I couldn't help but think 'I'm not on it THAT much' :rotfl:

All forums at work are blocked :( Don't understand why, I work in the travel industry so it's kind of related? :confused3 :rolleyes1

The Walt Disney World website was blocked for a few days last week :scared1:

All forums are blocked for me too at work, however I can get to the Disney website and the allears.net website so all is not lost :rotfl2:

They 'like' us to use IE. I discovered that I could get onto anything but uninstalling that and using Chrome. Which I did. :rotfl:

We got a message saying that the URL had a bad score and McAfee wouldn't allow us in. Apparently a few sites that our researchers use had the same warning so they had to pull the virus update.

Our filters are so funny. Can't get onto a bbc news story if it mentions any 'vice' topic, yet you can google something innocent like 'caulk gun' and up comes message boards on firearms :confused3
