I am extremely overweight. Based on my weight & my ideal weight, I have known for sometime that I have hit the obese range. My driver's license says I weight 130 - I didn't weight 130 20 yrs ago when I put that down & they've never made me update it upon renewal.
I am getting older - early 40s and my joints are starting to ache. I don't complain because I know that my weight is stressing my joints. I belonged to the Y a couple of years ago but didn't go often enough. It took 30 minutes to get there, so by the time I finished my workout, showered & drove home, I had at least 2 hours invested. Today I joined Curves it is less than 10 minutes away & right around the corner from the post office I go to EVERY day. Right now I am just going to concentrate on getting into the habit of exercising & strenghting my muscles.
Eventually I'd like to drop 50, maybe even 60 pounds. I know that I will drop a few pounds just because I will be more active. So I have posted my counter.
