Long time reader, first time attempting a trip report.
I am Sarah. I was not really much of a Disney fan until my oldest daughter came along. After our first trip with her, I was hooked.
We are leaving Friday January 30th for our surprise trip. We will be staying 8 nights at CBR. It will be me, the hubby, our two daughters, and our exchange student from France. My mom, teenage sister, and their exchange srudent from Vietnam will join us for the last four days.
This is our first time at CBR, last two visits were at POR. We have also stayed offsite a number of times.
Everyone knows we are going except our daughters. Emma is 7 and suspects a trip is coming soon as we have been in February every year for the last two years. She told me today that I am acting suspicious and she thinks I am keeping a secret.
Guess this will be the last year we can attempt a surprise visit. Our youngest daughter, Amelia, is two. She has autism and does not know anything about Disney but loves being outdoors.She will love getting out of the cold Indiana weather for a while. Our 17 year-old exchange student, Thomas is very excited. His dad actually used to work at Disneyland Paris so he is super excited to compare.
We will spend 7 days at Disney Parks and 2 days at the dark side.
Our plan for Friday is to pick the kids up at school at noon.Emma will not even know she is being picked up early until the teacher tells her I am there.I got her a sweatshirt that says best day ever. I will give that to her to wear to school Friday.
We are not sure exactly how we will tell her but we are kinda thinking we will just wait and let her figure it out on her own and see how long it takes. She does know that I have a meeting at the school that day so she won't think it is that strange that I am picking her up early. Our flight leaves at 2:45!! The secret is killing me
