hey beth! Finally all caught up! Great first days!! The rooms at POFQ are really nice!! When my boyfriend and i took the carriage ride at POR it actually went all the way down to POFQ and I was telling him that it's really pretty there! And the pool was really cool too! your kids are sooo cute! It's ok that you didn't go on Soarin'...at least Gabe was happy with nemo! Can't wait to hear more!

Hi Keala!! So glad you are all caught up!! How fun you and Roman took the carriage ride! My parents got to do that too and they loved it, they said it was a nice way to see both resorts too without having to walk all around!!! We had fun at the pool, the kids really liked the theme of it! Gabe was happy with Nemo, and I was glad we could all loosen up so quickly and enjoy it all! Thanks for reading along!!!

Sorry for a bit of a delay...we were out of town this weekend and it's been EXTREMELY hot here and this is Gabe's last week of preschool and he has his "graduation" on Wednesday so once school it done hopefully I will have a bit more time!!!

After visiting with the "FAB 5", we moved along to FIGMENT!!
No wait of course, the kids liked it, I did forget about the "train" coming at you, but both of them didn't seem to be bothered by it!

The kids had fun playing around in Image Works after, Gabe loved jumping on all the instruments best:

The email stations were PACKED with people, I don't know where they all came from!!
Here are two of my favorite pics of Helen, she was so proud to be able to sit by herself on this ledge:

We moved along to The Land. No chance for Soarin' for us, the stand-by was long and I think the FP return time was late already. We ate lunch at Sunshine Seasons, YUM!! No food pics but Helen and I split the salmon with green beans and garlic mashed taters, Gabe had the turkey sandwich, Cory had noodles of some sort and I can't remember what my parents had. Then we rode Living with the Land. The kids were getting tired but we enjoyed the ride. No wait for this either. We wandered into Mouse Gears and my mom took Gabe and my dad through the Butterfly Garden as Helen had fallen asleep in the stroller. My parents stayed at Epcot and did some of the WS that afternoon and the four of us headed back to FQ for rest time. We did grab FP for Test Track before we headed out that were good for 3:45. Here's my darling girl sleeping:

Remember on our way in Gabe asked to see Stitch and Daisy?? Well they were still out by the entrance when we left so Cory and Gabe headed over and got their pics with both of them, waited maybe a total of 5 minutes! He was sooooooooo happy about seeing them both, the pics are on the Photopass though. I felt that I had rebounded well from the morning episode by being able to do the first thing that Gabe wanted!!
We were back at FQ by about 1:30 and we all laid down for a while, it felt good to get a rest in!!
Then we went back to Epcot...did we get drenched by the rain storm??? Did we get Gabe on Test Track??? More later this afternoon!!!!

Cute,Cute, Cute picture of Helen sitting on the ledge. She is a keeper, that little girl. Of course Gabe is adorable too, but boys don't like to hear that. Did he like the skunk smell on the Figment ride? My boys seem to like that for some reason. I guess because they think it is hilarious. I love all the imagination centers that there are to do when you come off of that ride. I still have to eat at sunshine seasons. It always looks so good, and I already know that when I eventually do, I will be eating the salmon.

You are correct that Gabe doesn't want to be called "adorable"!! Boys are so goofy and at even 5 he tells me that's a "baby word"! He LOVED the skunk smell too, of course that led to talking about farts, etc...because again that's what 5 year old boys talk about!!! I love those pics of her, that little face changes so fast I love it when we can capture the toddler looks!!! The salmon was soooooooo good!! I LOVE salmon to begin with and this was wonderful for counter service!! The beans and potatoes were yummy with it too!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Sounds like you enjoyed Figment! I still prefer the original, it is such a bummer they had to go and change it. Atleast they put Figment back in!

Thanks Sarah, I too love those pics!! I prefer the original Imagination too, but this is what we are stuck with I guess, at least the kids enjoy it, they don't know what they are missing though!! I know the station always has people, it's weird because there never seems to be that many people coming off the ride!! I have to try and dig up a pic of me and my siblings with Dreamfinder and Figment!

Thanks Heather!! We loved it too! It's always nice to almost always walk right on a ride!!! She doesn't sit still too often so it's nice when she does and smiles I need to hop over to your PTR and see how your plans are going!!!!

Okay, I PROMISE I will finish our first park day with this post!!!!!!!!!!

When we had gotten back to the room, we were surprised with this!!

The kids were so excited about the towel bear, we had to work hard to settle them down! We all just rested for about an hour, but cooling off in our quiet room was heavenly . We checked the weather before we left and looked like rain was coming so we wanted to get a couple more things done in Epcot before we got wet!! Back to the bus stop:

We got back to Epcot and were planning on meeting up with my parents in front of Test Track so they could hold on to Helen for us!

We met up with Mom and Dad and with our FP's in hand, Gabe, Cory and I walked in!! Gabe was nervous but we tried to keep his mind occupied so he didn't worry too much! Here he is waiting with Cory:

He was still mostly smiles at this point, same with when we got into our car:

Off we went!! He did great, he was holding on to both of us for dear life, and I know the ending was REALLY intense for him! We were so proud of him!! We also made him think of one thing he liked best about the ride...he liked the "Cool" room. He didn't want to go on again but we were glad to get on it at least once!!!
We met up with Mom, Dad, and Helen and headed over to WS a bit. We rode the 3 Caballeros ride, kids liked it a lot and we stopped at the Kidcot Station. Gabe is the only one who wanted his pic taken:

By this time my parents were getting worn out and the wind and clouds were moving in. It was about 5:30 and we were going to head back to FQ for some dinner. On the way out we rode Spaceship Earth, I liked the new version as did the rest of the grown-ups. My dad said no rain until 7:00...okay mister weather "expert"...he likes to predict things!!! GOOFY!
Caught the bus right away and headed back. Had some dinner at Sassy, filled up our mugs, and headed back to the room. It was getting dark. We got back to our room right about 7:00pm, guess what??? It started to rain, my dad was right, don't you hate when that happens...

Kids played a bit, we watched "Minute to Win It", while it poured rain. Helen fell asleep first, so Gabe and my mom and I colored:

The rest of us were in bed by 10 or so...

Those masks are so wonderful for the kids! I remember the first year we took the boys. They really didn't have any interest in seeing the World Showcase but they loved making those masks from the different countries. Gabe did a great job decorating his!!

Kudos to Gabe for beng so brave! I know hearing those screams from people as they do the loop outside quickly turned my mom off from riding it.

My niece really liked the 3 Caballeros as well! It's such a colorful cute ride for kids! I had never seen it before when it was El Rio del Tiempo, but this new version seems great to me!!

Love the sleeping pic! It reminds me of The Night Before Christmas... "The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of Disney characters danced in their heads."

Thanks Angie! I wish we explored WS more with the kids, they just couldn't make those loooooooooong days and nights. Next trip for sure! My dad is just a REALLY good guesser!! But, he tends to be right a lot of times... and yes Gabe was a great sport!! It was very out of his element to ride TT, so we were EXTREMELY proud!!!

Thanks Alicia!! My sleeping kiddos HAD to be dreaming of characters!!! They were so excited every day waking up and wondering what we were going to do! We distracted Gabe constantly in line to hopefully hide the fact that the people he heard screaming were on TT!!!

Thanks Karen!! The boys will love it, I think Gabe really liked it and he worked really hard at not having so much anxiety! We were proud parents!!! Yes, hopefully next trip we can get on Soarin', and then Helen can ride too, that will help Gabe a lot, they rely on eachother!!!
