Another great update, Beth! Boo for only 2 more days. I am so bad, I'm starting to get like that too...like instead of being like woo hoo, we still have 2 days it's we've only got 2 more days left. No matter how many times we go it's still depressing coming home. OK anyway, onto happier thoughts now. haha That picture of Helen on TSM is so cute! And I love Gabe's WALL-E shirt.

Getting Ready To GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The night before we got the kiddos bathed, into PJ's and in bed by 8:30! We had enjoyed hot hoagies and "The Princess and the Frog" for dinner and we were all wiped out! The kids fell right to sleep, I finished packing up and Cory got the camera and other electronics ready, checked us in, and he also informed me he was "LEAVING HIS LAPTOP HOME!!!" Four words I was hoping he would tell me!! This was a "NO WORK VACATION ZONE"!!!

Here is the last pic of the night of me packing up the Potato Heads for the kids:

I laid out there clothes and mine and got to bed by 11:30pm and actually fell right to sleep!!! Alarm woke me up at 6:00am and Cory and I both got showered, packed up the truck and headed to my parents by 7:45am!

Here are Helen and Gabe with a FULL Countdown Calendar!!!

My aunt and her friend met us there too and drove my parents to the airport and we followed. We were at the airport by 8:15, she drove our truck home and we got our bags checked and headed through Security and walked to our gate. We had a little snack and Java and were boarded on the plane ready to go at 10:15am!!! Then we hear, "Ladies and Gentlemen, we need to change the tires, this will set us back about 30-40 minutes"...BOOOOOOO HISSSSSSSSSS!!!

LUCKILY, by 10:45 we were taking off and on our way to FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm late jumping in here but here I am! Ooohhh, I wouldn't like to be told that after I am already on the plane...it's kind of like being told they need to de-ice before take off...yikes!

Glad to hear yall liked TS 3! We are hoping to see it before we leave! DH is in Canada and said he wants to see it so...we have to wait until he gets home!

Thanks Alicia!! My sleeping kiddos HAD to be dreaming of characters!!! They were so excited every day waking up and wondering what we were going to do! We distracted Gabe constantly in line to hopefully hide the fact that the people he heard screaming were on TT!!!


Thanks Karen!! The boys will love it, I think Gabe really liked it and he worked really hard at not having so much anxiety! We were proud parents!!! Yes, hopefully next trip we can get on Soarin', and then Helen can ride too, that will help Gabe a lot, they rely on eachother!!!

It does seem to help. My Chicken Tyler (that's what Skye was calling him) did a lot of things he was not willing to do this time around and I think it had a lot to do with knowing Skye was going to do them now...in line he would do a lot, and I do mean A LOT, of talking the ride up presumably to her but I really think he was talking himself into it! And most of the things he came off wondering why he put off riding for so long!

Hey, there is nothing wrong with Toy Story all day...Tyler is trying to plan our next trip where every day we start out at rope drop at DHS...after a ride on Toy Story Mania and fast passes for later, then we can hop somewhere else!

He did really well and we distracted him pretty well with paying attention to the story going on. I think he thought all the little hills were the "big one"! Then we dropped down into the briar patch! He did a great job! He even tried to look happy! Also, we just got splashed a bit so thankfully we weren't soaked!
He didn't want to go again, but said it was pretty fun and he really liked the little hills best! I was so proud he tried it and now at home all he talks about it riding it again!! We met up with my mom and Helen and started heading to Main Street and out of the park for our YUMMY lunch!!

We had the same result...but Tyler and I had the front seat and my mom and Skye were behind us. Everytime it felt like we might be going to go down at all or whenever he couldn't see what was coming next he was grabbing onto my arm and cringing...and he's 11 so Gabe is doing great! Skye was a little braver but neither wanted to go again...and it is questionable it the next time we go if we'll be riding again!

Hi Beth!! All caught up after a little break from the DIS! Looks like you're a whole day ahead of me now.

My DH loves that Mr. Potato Head shirt too (Don't make me put on my angry eyes)... I think I'm going to try to find it for him when I go down in Sept/Oct.

You guys are having an amazing trip so far... and no I haven't found myself in any of your pictures.

I've never been to Goofy's, but it's on my list for this fall... I have a major sweet tooth!

Thanks Amy!!! I am glad you are still looking at the pics to try find yourself!! I have been doing the same with yours even if I know we weren't in the same place on the same day!! Yes, the Potato Head shirt is awesome!! I still may call and order it for DH, it is just perfect for him too!! You have got to try Goofy's! It's even fun just looking at all of the goodies in the display cases!! It would be a good stop for your girl getaway!!!

We did have a great time at DHS that morning! We were glad to sneak in one more TSMM ride that day! It put an extra smile on Gabe's face!! I was so happy (my mom too) that we were able to see Beauty and the Beast! I love the music from it and all the beautiful scenes they create!!

Yeah, for me those last couple of days have a bit of sadness to them, but we fit in a lot those days and had a ton of fun!!! Helen had fun being able to "shoot" for herself on TSMM, she had more fun doing that then trying to sit on our laps and help! Gabe's Wall-E shirt is one of his faves, plus I got in a year or so ago at Disney Store for like $3!!

Ok...all caught up...

Hi Sherry I am so glad you are reading along AND that you got all caught up!! Thank you for all your sweet comments so far! We were bummed about the whole airplane thing but it ended up not so bad and didn't delay us too far off thankfully!!

Glad to know I don't have the only child who has to be convinced to try things! Gabe grabbed my hand or arm on ALL of the big rides and wouldn't let go until the end! It's hard for me because I will try anything, but he did great and I am glad Tyler tried things too!!

I am sure Gabe would LOVE LOVE Tyler's TSMM park plan! He would absolutely agree to riding it EVERY morning before hitting up the other parks, what a great thinker!!!

I love the pic of Helen and Buzz too, there were a lot of pics of characters with her where her face shows that she's nervous, so when we got a good smiling one I was so happy!!!

As I left off my parents and us split up on our way out of DHS! My parents hopped on a bus and we walked down to a waiting boat to take us to the Beach Club for our lunch!!! We were eating at Beaches n' Cream!!!!!!!!!!! YUM!!! I always get lost trying to find it once we get off the boat, but we finally stumbled upon it!! This will be our second visit. BnC doesn't take ADR's so it's only walk up and the restaurant isn't very big so we had to wait a bit for a table outside next to Stormalong Bay! What a beautiful area!!
Here are the kiddos being silly wearing eachother's sunglasses!

We only waited about 20 minutes and we got seated in a booth!! We were really hungry!!!!

We all looked over the menu carefully even though I already knew what I wanted!!

We put in our orders and soon out came our malt/shakes!!
Cory got a chocolate malt!

He says !
I got a mint chocolate chip shake!!

It was soooooooooooooooooooooo yummy!! I had to share some with my date

Our food came!!
Helen got a hot dog I think (sorry no pic)
Gabe got the turkey sandwich and ate it all up!!

Cory got a swiss burger with fries:

And I ordered one of my food cravings, their SUPER DELICIOUS onion rings!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the food (especially the rings in my opinion) was super!!!!!!!!!!!! We HAVE to stop here every trip from now on!!!!!
The kids got sundaes with their meals, super cute!!

We were STUFFED!! Lunch was so good!! I HIGHLY recommend BnC!!!
They were working on the BC bus stops so we wandered to the Yacht Club to catch the bus to our next stop!!!

wow you got a lot done before Spectro! What a great night at Spectro and Wishes. I sure hope we are able to catch them, I think we will as long as DD does not completely crash the nights they are scheduled.

Kona Cafe looks yummy! I don't I have ever read about it other than a breakfast review but it looks like lunch is yummy too. I am drawn to the BC so we are going to pop over there for a dinner one night. Looking forward to seeing it!! Hopefully, DH will like it too.

Goofy's! I want to pop into there when we go--I don't think it was there when we went last time. I am debating between the apple and the krispy treat. yup, I am already debating.

If we end up staying at BC, or even if we don't, I want to eat a Beaches n' Cream! It looks like the food is so yummy!

I just wanted to say I am really enjoying your TR!! Just reading it is making even more excited to take my DD down there for her first visit!!

Hey Stephanie!! Glad you are still reading along!! I don't think the kids would have lasted had we not gone back to the resort for a rest! It helped them (and us) immensely to have that down time, so I HIGHLY recommend it!!

Kona was super good and a fun way for me to get Cory to the Poly and hopefully plant that seed for us staying there someday!! I LOVE the idea for you too if you don't stay at the BC to at least get your DH over to it and check it out! It's so lovely over there!!! BnC should be a stop for sure it was sooooo good!!!

I was planning what I was getting at Goofy's too long before we left for our trip!! There is a thread somewhere showing pics of people's treats they created!!! It's so fun to see, I will have to search for it again and add my pics too!!!

I am so excited for you to be taking your daughter on her first trip!! It's so magical and I know you will make so many memories!!! Nothing beats taking your kids to DISNEY WORLD!!!

While we enjoyed our Beaches n' Cream lunch, my parents were off on an adventure of their own!! From DHS they hopped on the bus to the Grand Floridian to enjoy their tea!! They did this on their last trip and LOVED it, and had another wonderful experience! This time my mom remembered her camera so there are a TON of pics to share!!!
I don't know much about their tea, mostly that it is "lovely" and it's so beautiful at the Grand Floridian. I know they were quite a bit early for their 2pm seating, but they were glad to wander about!!
My dad just LOVES to have his picture taken...
