"Mom, this is like a whole new Disney!" New 7/30 - pg 43 - Final Thoughts & PTR Link

I've been following you trip report (silently) and have absolutely fallen in love with your family! Your boys are such cuties!

I do some animal rescue and the white kitten looks to be siamese... they do get darker as they get older (they are born white).. he will get beautiful points.. probably grey ears and tail and perhaps some spots.

Maybe SI or AM for that baby? Or heck.. Siam?

I like the name Sunshine! Hey you can call the kitten Sonny for short:) (Sunny)

I've found orange boys to have the best personality of any kitty ever.. and it's common for cat people to say this!!! THAT orange kitten is going to be GORGEOUS! What markings he has!

I'm so glad Alex is over his fear and Zach will get the kitten he's always wanted!

The kittens are adorable!
Two strollers on a hot afternoon in the MK seems like the only way to go.
I want to try CHH next month. Timing CS lunch is so important. We went between 11:30-11:45 last year and never encountered crowds. But by the time we finished lunch, the place was packed!

I'm glad we got two strollers... it could be part of the reason we had such a great day! I agree that the timing of lunch is key! We often enter an empty CS restaurant and leave when it's packed!

Thanks for de-lurking!! And thanks for all the kitty info!! Personally I'm hoping we end up with the orange one... that's great to know they have good personalities! He definitely seems energentic!

Siamese? Hmmm... that could be interesting - we've never had a siamese cat before. We had a black cat, that didn't look siamese at all, who sounded siamese. He had quite the voice!

Sounds like great work you do rescuing kitties!! :thumbsup2

We were kind of thinking Sunny or Sonny as a nickname... but I'm really going to keep working on Simba if we end up with that kitty.

After filling our bellies and taking a ride on PoTC & Splash Mtn. we took a quick ride on BTMRR and debated what to do next. I had really wanted to experience Tom Sawyer Island. I knew Zach in particular would enjoy the exploring. But nobody was interested… They wanted popsicles so we made our way to a snack cart and got some popsicles & water (did I mention how hot it was today). The kids chose what we would do next… Hall of Presidents!

I was surprised since Alex had no interest earlier in the week when Nancy & Karen checked it out. We just missed a show but it worked out well since the boys had popsicles to finish up. We found a somewhat shady quiet area to sit and take a little break.

As I mentioned in my last update, today was really the day that inspired the title of my TR! Hall of Presidents was the first of several new things we experienced. :thumbsup2

After the boys finished their popsicles, we cleaned them up and headed inside:

More pushing & shoving (check out the lady on the left - she thinks they are pretty funny ):

I tried to take a few non-flash pictures – they actually came out OK:

We all really enjoyed the show & the nice air conditioned break. We made a stop in the gift shop and Nancy bought each of the boys a little something:

Refreshed from the show, we made our way back out into the heat. Zach wanted to head over to IASM but changed his mind so we joined the rest of the group for:

I think I was emailing with Julie at this point:

I was telling her how I was disappointed that we were skipping TSI… again!

After making it out of the Haunted Mansion alive, we decided to continue around the World toward Fantasyland. I had another something “new” in mind for everyone!

Great update!:thumbsup2 Sorry you didn't make it to TSI. We missed it in April too!:sad2: I really thought the boys would like it but when I brought it up they were more interested in doing something else.:confused3 I'm glad you got to try Hall of Presidents though...love the pictures of your boys! Your non-flash pics turned out great. Can't wait to see what "new" thing you have in mind.popcorn::

That's so great that Alex was able to overcome his fears and that you guys are getting a kitten! :cat: I've always been a dog person, but kittens are just adorable!

Zach has the right idea with the Splash Mountain suit! :thumbsup2

Love the reason for your TR title! That's the great thing about Disney, there is so much to see and do that each trip is full of new experiences and "firsts!"

I'm a History nerd, so I love those gifts Nancy bought from the HOP gift shop! I never thought to stop in there because I never saw the show this trip. I'll definitely have to check it out next time.

Maybe we didn't really miss TSI... :rolleyes1

We're so excited to get the kitty!! Alex was funny though... he was sure to tell me that just because he has gotten over his fear enough to get a kitten, he WILL NOT be getting a dog!

Laura is a historian and did a big event on Lincoln earlier this year... I actually took a ton of Lincoln pictures at HoP for her. :thumbsup2

The HoP store was really cool!

Now that we know Alex will be OK with the kitten, I took Zach to see the them this week...

He was so happy to see them and didn't want to leave without one!

All caught up! Love the pictures you got while riding Triceratop Spin! Wow! That CM at Buzz was something else! We heard one yelling at a Brazilian Tour Group who was chanting in the Pirates line. Love that the boys enjoy Hall of Presidents so much!

Oddly, many siamese litters include a black kitten ... or several LOL! You probably had a little black meezer. I had one once... only knew that's what she was because of her wheezey loud MEOW and how sleek and slender her little face and body were.

They certainly are talkers!

I hope you get the orange boy too;) Then again that little meezer is darling... ooh I'm so glad I'm not in your shoes to have to choose!

My most recent litter rescued from the streets (I thought Zach might get a kick out of this pic)

Love the quiet spot you found. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Was that on mainstreet? Is the red pass you are wearing around your neck the boys GAC card? I only ask because I know my son won't wear it, so thinking the same from your boys, and I didn't know how that worked.

I can't wait to read what the other something new is. I do hope it is TSI. Love that they enjoyed the Hall of Presidents, so GREAT. :)

:yay: the kitten :yay:

I'm all caught up! Great news on the diagnoses and what huge progress on the kitty's! I LOVE Simba for a name and actually really really like Cloudy.

Bummer about TSI but I can tell you, TSI is kind of like AK. It's even HOTTER out there so you might have been miserable. I'm not sure why that is but we always seem to melt on TSI.

In that heat, I bet 2 strollers saved a lot of time, and potential drama so it was probably a good thing!

Yikes about the Brazilian Tour Groups... sounds like it could be kind of easy for a CM to yell at them! :scared1:

Adorable picture!! Zach loved it!! I've never heard about meezers before but it definitely sounds like our Max was just that!!

:yay: the kitten :yay:

We were in Liberty Square, right across from HoP. :thumbsup2

Yes - Tim & I wear the boys' GACs in those little waterpoof sleeves around our necks. We've been getting a GAC for Alex since he was 5 1/2 and it just seemed easier for us to hold onto it. We've never thought about him carrying it. :confused3 They boys just refer to the cards at Fast Passes... I guess we don't want to make it seem like they are doing anything too different than others.

I can find the information about where I ordered them if you are interested.

A popsicle break and Hall of Presidents sounds like a good way to beat the heat!

It was a nice break! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to figure out which kitty we get to bring home so we can get serious about picking a name!! We are going camping (just locally for one night) next weekend then we have a couple weeks before our trip to the lake. We get to go buy kitty stuff & finish kitty-proofing the house! (ie- making sure all the silly bandz are put away, etc.)

TSI... We can talk more about that later. ;)

It's funny about the stroller - Alex didn't want to ride in one at all last time, but every once in a while he would steal Zach's from him. I'm sure that's why we decided to get him his own.

Meezer is just a nickname for "Siamese" lol!... I can't wait to hear if you missed TSI or not:)!!!! And so glad you're returning in a couple of months so we get another trip report! I haven't been to wdw since 05 and it doesn't look like I'll get getting back anytime soon...

It is great to see you got the diagnosis for Zach, I know it will help so much to get him the services and help he needs .

How wonderful that Alex touched and held the kitten and was talking about names !

So sorry about the rude Cast Member at Buzz, how annoying :sad2:.

The shady area where you finished up the popsicles is where they have accessible parade viewing. That is our favorite place to go for Spectro, Bill is close to the rope and gets some character attention :rotfl: and I can actually sit and watch the parade without people trying to sneak in front of us :thumbsup2.

I love the “emailing” picture. I think I will probably be texting a lot this next trip.

I am sorry no one wanted to go to TSI with you. Maybe next time?

Thank you if it's not too much trouble I would really love that information.

Yes Please!

Thank you if it's not too much trouble I would really love that information.

Sorry ladies... looks like the website where I purchased them doesn't exist! :headache: It was roobygear.com or you could get them through amazon. Not sure if you searched hard enough you might find one somewhere else... :confused3

Here's the thread where I originally read about it: click here

That's funny!! I thought a meezer was like an almost siamese cat or something! :rotfl:

Hoping to finish up this TR with a couple more posts then I'll start up a combo PTR for Sept/Oct & Feb/March. :thumbsup2

That would be a great spot for a parade!

Yesterday I asked Alex if he wanted to go back to see the kittens again or if he'd rather wait until we get one and he said he wanted to go back today! :thumbsup2 I figured he'd just say he wanted to wait. Of course today wasn't an option... but hopefully we'll get back there sometime this week.

I never used to text, but now that I have my iphone I do it all the time! I'm hoping Julie will be up to posting some live update pictures for me during my trips... :rolleyes1

Amy I am catching up! I have a few more pages to read! I'll be back in a few! :rotfl:
