The margarita flight at the Ditch looks great ... I wonder why they would discontinue it at the holidays? I'm never going to understand the Disney Drink & Dining Collective.

Interesting that you had chips with your guacamole ... we were given weird wagon-wheel thingees that looked like funions or some such thing.

I need to try that margarita flight next trip, I know that the blood orange one is yummy, but they all look delicious. That guacamole is still on my "need to try" list too.

Yes, the margarita flight was awesome. I agree, why would they take it off the menu for the holidays! I am just glad that I was aware it had existed because of the Dis!

Holy smokes, what amazing updates! I love the look of the tequila flight...I had my first tequila drink ever at SAI in November and it was amazing!

I definetly have to put R&C on the lineup for our next trip, it looks and sounds like something we would LOVE!

And your dinner at Il Mulino....we ate there in Oct and we both fell head over heels for the place....just incredible!

We truly loved R&C. We had eaten there several years ago and I didn't remember loving it. I was hesitant when DH requested it this trip but am so glad we tried it!

Our first full day started with breakfast at Chef Mickey's! At the buffets, I only took a picture of my plate of food -

Mickey Waffles, breakfast pizza (I really enjoyed this), cheese blintzes (my favorite), potatos (didn't care for the spice in these), bacon and sausage.

During the napkin twirl celebration, our waittress brought DH and I a cupcake for our anniversary -

I didn't get the exact change down, but the cost was $92.xx. Definitely expensive for breakfast but c'mon where else can you eat with the Fab Five!

Lunch on Day two was supposed to be at Crystal Palace but I changed it to Liberty Tree Tavern just before the trip. We watched the "Once Upon a Christmastime" parade and then checked in.

We all had iced teas to drink. Appetizers were the soups of the day - New England Clam Chowder for DH and DS and Chicken Gumbo for me

Soups were good but the Gumbo was really more like cream of chicken. Not like any gumbo I had every had.

For Lunch, DS had New England Pot Roast... Our Tavern Keeper's Favorite - braised beef in a cabernet wine and mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables

He was sorry he got this as he just didn't feel like it. He ended up eating quite a bit of my Chicken & Dumplings (I don't see this on Allears)

This was delicious!

DH had the fish catch of the day - some kind of cod

It didn't look appealing to me so I didn't try it. DH liked it though.

For dessert, I had the Crisp of the Day which was peach -

DS had Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake -- vanilla cake with a gooey toffee filling and caramel sauce

DH had some type of apple dessert but I am not sure that it is the one on Allears (Caramel Apple Tart -- shortbread crust, sugared apples, and cinnamon ice cream)

All were good but we were pretty full and there was a screaming child so we just wanted out. Didn't eat more than a few bites each.

Total cost $104.35.

During the day, DS had a couple of snacks - I didn't keep track of the cost of the snacks as the receipts never had the amount on them.

First up, a Mickey Bar -

Dinner today was at Artist Point - hands down the BEST meal of our trip. We all agreed that nothing else came close. Fantastic food, superb service! Since we had the wine plan, we actually had a $99 bottle of wine! I know there is a huge markup on wine, but I am fairly confident that we've never had anything close to this one.

It was from the "K" something collection. Very good wine.

DS had Smoky Portobello Soup with Roasted Shiitakes and Chive Oil

This was the BEST soup any of us have ever had. Would love to try to make it at home but we have to get a smoker first!

DH had A Selection of Artisan Cheeses -- Fiscalini Cheddar, Midnight Moon, Echo Mountain Blue, seasonal garnishs and walnut toast

I had Spinach Salad , with crisp bacon, radishes, hard-cooked eggs, pickled onions, and mustard vinaigrette

Wonderful salad! Especially when I added some of the blue cheese for DH's cheese plate!

For entrees, DH had the special of the evening - described to us Australian "Kobe" steak. I know Kobe beef is only from Japan so I am not exactly sure what the steak was but it was simply amazing. Super tender!

I had Grilled Beef Tenderloin with roasted fingerlink potatoes, sauteed baby spinach, blue cheese fritter and port wine reduction

DS had Butter Poached Wild Boar Tenderloin - mushroom bread pudding and huckleberry au jus which is shown as an appetizer on Allears but was an entree when we were there

He declared it the best meal of his life (and as you can tell, we like to eat!) I did have the one small taste he allowed me and it was really tasty!

And just because we could, we ordered sides -

Tillamook Mac and Cheese with Maytag Crust, Truffle Fries with a delicious sauce and Wild Mushroom Risotto. All were absolutely fantastic!

Dessert didn't appeal to any of us plus we were STUFFED. Cost of dinner (including the crazy bottle of wine) was $305.21 and worth every penny!

I have always said that our two meals at Emeril's Tchoup Chop were by far the best meals we've ever had. I give them a 15 on a scale of 1-10. Well, Artist Point definitely got close ... a 13 or 14 on that 1-10 scale. Near perfection!

Did you use one or two wine credit for that bottle? We are thinking of adding the wine when we go with our friends in the summer. Since there will 4 adults among us and all of us are wine drinker, it would make sense to have a whole bottle to ourselves for 1 wine credit. What do you think?

What is the wine plan? Can you only purchase with the DxDDP or can you simply add it on? We did something similar on the Disney Wonder and it worked out great since we had a bottle with dinner every night. Wondering if I should do this the next time we go. Thanks.

With the wine plan, you pay $39 a day for a wine credit. We had 8 nights so 8 credits. I think you can add it to the regular dining plan as well. From what we could tell, any wine on the menu up to $50 was one credit, then from $51 to $99 was 2 credits. Anything over $100 wasn't eligible.

We ended up getting 5 bottles ... 3 two credit, and 2 one credit. Yes, $320 for 5 bottles of wine is expensive. But we did get to try some wines that we would never have tried if we didn't have the plan. It was something that DH really wanted to try and it worked out fine for us. Would we do it again? Not sure. But we did enjoy having it this trip. I am definitely one that likes to pre-pay as much as possible.

This is so funny, DH had the pot roast and I had the chicken dumplings at LTT in November and we both agreed that my dish was the best!

You definitely should. It was amazing. I wasn't sure I really wanted to eat there (DH suggested we try it). Boy am I glad we did. DS wanted to try to eat there again later in the week but I could only get us in after 9:30 and that was just too late for me.

Hey all - sorry I couldn't get an update done last night. Life just seemed to get in the way. Plan to do it after work today ... Tusker House breakfast, Yak & Yeti lunch and DS's return to Jiko for dinner!

On to Day 3 - a very early breakfast at Tusker House with Donald!

Again, I only took a picture of my plate - Mickey Waffle, potatos, scrambled eggs. bacon, a strawberry pastry, bread pudding with vanilla sauce and a sausage.

Food was good - better than I remembered it being last year. Total cost $79.85.

DS didn't eat much breakfast at all. We saw a place that said they had s'mores on the sign but the girl behind the counter had no idea what we were talking about. Strange. He got an ice cream instead -

On to Lunch at Yak & Yeti. This was a miss meal for DS and I last year. Not sure if we were just in a bad frame of mind or if the restaurant had an off day but we enjoyed it much more this year!

DH had a Yak Attack and I had an Emperor Marguarita to start -

We all shared Pork Pot Stickers - pan seared or steamed, soy lime dipping sauce and Wok-Fried Green Beans - battered green beans, sweet Thai chili dipping sauce

As well as Pork Egg Rolls - chili plum dipping sauce. There were 3 but DH and DS snagged theirs before I took the pic!

DS also really wanted wonton soup. He dumped in the crunchy noodles before I got the pic -

For entrees, DH had a Kobe Beef burger (not on Allears) that was absolutely wonderful! So tender. Best bite of a burger I have ever had! The fries were very hot & crispy. I wish I had gotten that!

I had Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp - skirt steak, tempura-battered shrimp, jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables, chili plum dipping sauce but don't eat shrimp so DH took those

DS had Crispy Honey Chicken - tempura chicken, broccoli, carrots, honey sauce

We all really enjoyed our lunch. Too full for dessert. Waittress tried very hard to get us to take something to go but we didn't want to carry it around the park.

Total for the dining plan was $115.75. Total for the drinks & extra soup was $22.34.

I am very glad we gave this one a 2nd try. My only complaint was that they were taking walk-ins and they didn't seem to be giving priority to those with ADRs. Check-in and waiting to be seated was a mad house because it had started to rain. A bit more organization was definitely needed!

Before we left we used another snack credit for a Tea Latte (not Chai, just a regular Tea Latte). It was very creamy and a bit sweet. I really enjoyed it.
