"mom, really? Disney in December again?" PTR** link to TR last page**

Ok I have played around with my park days because of the nasty rumour that the Pop Warner kids will be at MVMCP on the 7th

I was going to move it to the 5th but that is our first real day and I don't really wanna do the party first so I moved it to the 9th and that makes me move my Epcot WS day to our last night which will kinda be nice to end the trip with the candlelight Processional and Illuminations (and it will make it easier to get my Le Cellier ressie since it is later in the trip!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:)

OK here is the schedule (as of today, that doesn't mean it won't change :rolleyes1)

This one also has times for my ressies so if anyone will be at the same place around the same time let me know

Is that confirmed? I have been thinking of trying to come in one day earlier thant planned to do MVCP on the 7th, but maybe it won't be worth it if the Pop Warner kids are there then too.

All caught up!
Looks like great plans, and I totally understand the changing dates and resorts. I would love to stay at the Pily, but honestly, we just aren;t at the resort long enough each day for me to justify spending that kind of money. Maybe some day we will though.

Do you know if they still have the Osborne lights , even if it rains?

I don't know how I missed following your PTR? I'm here now. I'm gonna go back and use your cheat links and get myself caught up!

I don't know how you missed it either  but I am glad you found it and I hope you were able to keep up with all the changes :confused3

OK, I have only read the 1st cheat link about your previous trips, but I see you went last Dec. Can you tell me about the weather. I keep forgetting that this may not be shorts and tank weather, and would love to heare what you thought of it. I bet our "Northern weather" is similar. We live in NW Ohio, so a little south of you, but we still get the horrid cold winters at times and lots of snow some years too.

We didn't do a lot of sweating but we did manage to wear shorts. I brought sweatshirts for the evenings though. It was pretty nice but the week after we left was when they got the cold snap:scared1:

It also only rained one day for that trip which was our last full day

Here is a link to last years TR, its pretty short but you can see what we are wearing which may help

I honestly don't know since I decided not to bother with MVMCP then I changed my dates so I never looked into it after that... sorry, if I hear anything I will let you know

Next year I am staying at the Poly, it's my dream resort.... we maybe I should make sure I find a job before I make that promise eh???:rolleyes1

I don't know about the lights in the rain but that is a very good question since I only have one DHS day scheduled

Anyone know the answer to this?????????

So I did a lot of thinking today and I figure it's more important to actually go to WDW then where we sleep. The spending money was dwindling to pay off the trip so I moved us to Pop Century and upgraded to the regular dining plan. I am a little upset cause I was really starting to look forward to POR and getting over not staying at the Poly but I will get over it.

None of my plans that I have posted to date have changed except if I put rest at POR it's now rest at Pop and I don't have to leave Pop on the morning of the 10th to go check in at POR.

I am just happy that I get to go (sort of like being happy to be nominated)
well i am so sorry to hear it, i know it is a bummer, but at the same time, you have a great attitude and that is what disney is all about. you will have a fabulous time at POP and heck, you are at disney, during the magical holidays. it will be so special. :santa: you can always go back again sometime and stay at the Poly then. The kids won't care as long as they are having a blast with their family. Heck, we stayed in a pop up camper our first trips because that is all we could afford (i still can't fathom how my parents even afforded that with three girls). the trip is going to be amazing!!!!

I'm learning that sometimes when something seems to have gone wrong, it really ends up being better. :goodvibes It's helping me to accept and adjust to things that haven't gone as I have planned.

When we stayed at POP last year, it would not have been my choice, but because my dear friends wanted to stay there and because we were trying to be on a budget, we booked there. My DD was so happy and excited to be there....my DS LOVED the food court, and DH loved that it cost so much less.....and my REAL joy comes from seeing my family happy, so it was all for the best in the end. :goodvibes
so true!! we all tend to 'overplan' and have these crazy expectations, but sometimes if we let go of the expectations and just focus on the memories and good times with our family, it turns out even better!

Thanks!!! We will enjoy ourselves no matter what because we love it there!!!

I totally over plan all the time but I have cut back A LOT on this trip and I actually think it will be better and more relaxed. I even have one day at MK with nothing planned.... more trip plans coming tomorrow....

ok, you all are getting me a little scared! I have to wonder... am I over planning??? I know I needed to add more rest time but now I am wondering if I am trying to get to many things in one day. :scared1:

I wouldn't worry.... when you are there you will see what everyone is capable of and if you think you have too much planned slow down

Slow down... In Disney... Is that possible???? :rotfl2:

lol this is your first trip and I know you will want to run around and do everything but the first time you walk into Magic Kingdom and you and the kids see the castle it will stop you cause you will want to just stare at it for a while... I still do and I have seen it lots!!!

53 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am soooo excited... hoping to get an update up tonight or in the morning

I have already told Jon that I know I will bust into tears at that moment. I had to warn him so he didn't think someone ran over my foot or something! :lmao:

Day 5 Mon Dec 13

This is our second Magic Kingdom day of the trip. I may not make it to that park first but I get there a lot :thumbsup2

The plan is to make rope drop. We didn’t see the opening show last year but I taped it in 2008 so I would like to see it again

I want to grab one of those great cinnamon rolls from the MK bakery

Then we will make the mad dash with the rest of the crowd to Fantasyland and the first ride will be

ry%3D400

I don’t think my mom has gone on this ride before

Then we will hit up all the rides we can in Fantasyland but I want to make sure my mom sees

ry%3D400

Again my mom has never seen this and it MUST be seen!!!!!

Next we will head over to Toontown. Luckily they change construction days and we will get to see for one more time

And I will be taking more pictures than you can ever imagine. In fact mom should leave Emm with me and take Eryka over to ride Goofy’s Barnstormer one more time too. I have tons of pics of this ride cause Eryka and I got to ride it with Donald and Pluto in 2008

ry%3D400

While in Toontown we will need to visit some friends

Then we will hit whatever else we want till 6pm when we will head over to our dinner at

This is my moms pick. I plan on giving her a Lapu Lapu and sending her back to the resort in a taxi LAUGHING but first we will watch Wishes from the Poly beach

If my mom does go back to the resort, me and the girls will head back to MK for EMH

At this point they can ride whatever they want to ride since we will have done our Must Do’s by now. I’m sure they will drag me all over the park. As soon as one of them complains they are tired we will head back to Pop Century for the night

I don't know if you all remember or not but a while ago I posted a picture of a countdown chain I made. I thought I would share a pic of it then and now

Then

Now

That makes the trip seem soooo much closer!!!:banana::banana:

What a difference in your chain! Thanks for sharing the photos. I love your day 5 plan--can't believe mom has never seen Mickey's Philharmagic! That is one of my favorites. :goodvibes

So, they have some of toontown open? I thought it was all closed for the fantasyland expansion. I probably would not have gone over there, but if they are open for the last time, I might try and talk the kids into going just for the sake of seeing it and getting some photos. Where did you find the construction schedule?

I get all my fantasyland info from this thread

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2394175

it seems back and forth on if toontown will close this fall or in 2011.. I believe (and pray) they will keep it open for the Christmas season and it will close in January, but I won't know till I get there

Wow, the size difference in your chain is eye opening huh? Our trips are not too far away!! :thumbsup2

I hope Toon Town is open, I would love to see it one last time...

Your chain countdown is so cute!! Thats a great idea, we will be in Disney Dec 1-7th.
I saw you posted something about Pop Warner week? I have no clue what that is?
Your little girls are beautiful I hope you guys have an awesome trip!

I will be taking pictures of every inch of those houses... hopefully they will relocate them but I'm not taking any chances

Hey there, Welcome!

Pop Warner is a football and Cheer leading competition and they are there from Dec 4-11. Apparently you don't notice them in the park too much during the day but if you are staying at the all-star resorts that is where they stay... also one moderate hotel but I don't know which one

Thank you.... I think they are beautiful as well:love:
