So where were we?????????? Oh yes........AAAAAAAHHHHH......we are now in our new fancy Fairy Tale digs and, despite the continued lousy weather, our spirits are lifting
It's early Thursday evening now, and you, of course, know what Thursday night at GKTW means don't you??? NO???!!!!! You don't????? Why, the Christmas Party of course!!! And THIS Thursday night was the (one and only) Christmas party where a few Disney characters would be on hand early on as well

As part of this party we would find ourselves treated to a fancy holiday meal (served by students of a local culinary institute), gingerbread cookie decorating, a parade/party and a visit by the red-suited Santa Claus himself (complete with presents for all

). They predicted, in fact, that perhaps some SNOW would fall

(but of course, being from the north, we weren't so sure what all the fuss was about

). So, once unpacked and dressed up warm, we headed out to start the festivities.
First stop straight to the Gingerbread House (stock photo to follow) to feed our faces. How appropro that the gingerbread boy gets to eat at the Gingerbread House!!.......
On the way out of the Gingerbread House we noticed Mickey and Minnie in all their Christmas finery but, unfortunately, were in a bit of a rush and the number of children crowding around them was quite large. We were supposed to meet "Mary", a very nice lady from Entertainment, and truth was we were cutting it quite close for our meeting time. I had already been 45 minutes for our meeting earlier in the evening (yeah, I know, I didn't tell you about that hehehe). Matty had wanted to wear his Gingerbread Man costume to the parade/party but hadn't (understandably) wanted to wear it to dinner. As a result it had been left behind in the villa and we needed to run (run run as fast as we can......) back to the car, drive to the villa, and make a quick change. On the way to the car we passed by a group of volunteers who were passing out the cutest and softest white teddy bears. The kids stopped excitedly, each accepted a bear, and we took off again. The rain fortunately had stopped and the temperature was even comfortable. At the car, we threw Matty into his suit and ran back just in time to find a few friends to pose for pictures with:
Donald Duck!
Goofy!!
and Pluto too!!
Did you happen to notice the teddy bears????????
We finished our photo ops just in time to catch 'Mary'. She told us to wait a few minutes. The kids rode the carousel (stock photo to follow) a few times.
I only wish I had taken a picture of my Matty in his costume riding one of those creatures......hilarious!!
Anyway, in no time Mary had returned and told us to follow her. Matty didn't know where we were going?
Do you??????
