Just back from taking my mom to Disney 5/1 to 5/8. What a fun time! I'd love to go back again! Between the low wait times for attractions and the absolutely gorgeous gardens in Epcot, last week was a great time to go.
We stayed at POFQ, and it was really nice. I'd definitely stay there again. Mom and I liked the small size of the resort and thought the bus service to the parks was really good. The food court was better than I anticipated. Oh, how I miss those beignets already!
We followed the crowd calendar's suggestions about which parks to avoid/best parks for each day, and it worked out really well. We got to the parks when they opened, too, and for the 1st hour or so had no trouble with crowds at all. We were able to walk on to alot of attractions throughout the days, including headliners like Space Mountain and Tower of Terror. I think the longest wait I had all week was 15 minutes, and average wait time was 5 minutes or so. Actually, I think my longest wait was to get my picture taken with Pooh and Tigger!
Wait times probably were longer in the afternoons, but we'd go back to the resort after lunch and then go back to the parks after dinner, so we probably missed any larger crowds.
The only bad thing was the oppressive heat and humidity. We're from Michigan where it has been cooler than normal, so it was hard to adjust to the heat. But on the bright side, we had sun ever day and it only rained 1 afternoon! All in all, a fab trip.
