BTW, we just changed our OKW reservations from Jan to Sept. Again, our first stay. Any tips or must-do's that you'd like to share. We're going to be in HH area in a 2 bedroom. We requested the 3 floor with water and golf course views but we'll see what we get. We normally don't care where we are but we're doing this trip without the parks--another first--and wanted to be close to the main pool and activities for the kids.

I don't understand...why no parks?? I'd go nuts!

Jen, first of all, GREAT UPDATE! I loved all the pictures. Megs is SO CUTE in her Snow White dress! I think Cinderella handled it beautifully...(and by the way, you wrote Snow White averted the situation, instead of Cindy...just thought you might want to know so you can edit)

I want to see the bus picture...you posted the same "Snow White and you" picture where I think the sleeping Megan on the bus picture was supposed to be.

It looks like I am just complaining away huh... Sorry! I really did love this and it's making me ever more excited to be there in 2 months! (well...LESS than 2 months! ) Also we are probably hitting Epcot for a few hours on our arrival day...and I'm so excited for Epcot!

You made it to Norway for dinner -- whew! I love Megan's excitement at seeing all the princesses and how cute she is in her Snow White dress. That's a shame about Snow White, though .

She must have been exhausted to konk out so hard on the bus! She had a busy day!

Oh, and yes, I was completely freaking out in the storm -- but not as much as I would have if I had known about the tornado warnings. In this case I was glad to be ignorant of the fact!

I don't understand...why no parks?? I'd go nuts!

We're DVC members and have some points to get used up before the year is over. We found some good fares and decided to make this a surprise getaway trip for the kids. This is going to be a little R&R trip after a summer of ballet intensives and travel ice hockey tournaments. DH will be perfectly content sitting on the balcony watching the golfers and swimming. (This is the first time we'll be at a DVC resort and not doing parks so I'm not sure how the rest of us will fare.) We plan to go over to BCV's to eat our gelatos and watch Illuminations from the beach plus resort/pool hop on the monorail loop. Poly is the kids fav! Our main trip will be in May 2009 and we'll be getting annual passes then. We're just trying to keep this trip as budget friendly as possible!!

I loved that update! I love the look on Megan's face when she saw the princesses. My little one had that look on her face when we took her to the princess breakfast. I'm so glad that they interacted with Megan. And her Snow White pose is perfect! Waiting anxiously for you next MK update.

We had a beautiful waitress too, but that was our worst service by far..

That was one of my favorites from the whole trip!! She didn't even wake up when I put her PJs on her! Too funny!

Our waiter was Magnus--and he was GORGEOUS!!! But I agree, our service wasn't the best.

Those princesses are sharp aren't they? How wonderful of Cinderella to pick up on the fact that your DD really wanted to see Snow White, and to think of such a great story to tell her!

She was SO happy! I am so glad we still go to go do this--we were starting to really worry when the storm came. Tom said that he knows not to expect the best food when we do character meals, but he said watching her interact with characters is so worth it--PRICELESS memories!! Wait until you see one of our meals coming up later--she was too much fun to watch! I'm not going to say another word though--you will just have to wait!

The story about Sneezy was one that she DEFINITELY remembered even days later! More on that later in the TR--stay tuned!

Another great update! I really want to try Norway but I'm not sure how well it would go with my picky eaters, plus I'm a vegetarian. The pictures with the princesses are priceless! Glad to hear you were able to avoid both potential crisis.
I cannot tell you how much I look forward to your installments and how terribly disappointed I'll be when the trip is over. Thanks again for sharing!

The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best, and I would say that might be a little overwhelming for picky eaters--lunch there or breakfast might work out better.

I can't tell you how glad I was that we were able to avoid the crises!!! You are so sweet that you look so forward to them! There is still much more to come!!! I keep hoping that by the time I am done, maybe there will be another WDW trip to write about in another PTR!!!! Hope along with me!!!

You didn't even need to tell me!!! Before I read your message, I went back and re-read all that I had posted this morning, and made those necessary changes!!! I want to officially apologize to all reading for my errors and typos--being a former high school English teacher, I try hard to catch all typos and errors before I post, but this morning I was running out the door to take Megan to a music program at our local park. I didn't get to check it until I got home--did make changes to the big errors, but I'm sure I didn't catch all the typos----SO SORRY!!! I will try harder next time!

I am so glad your trip is less than 2 months away, and I just know that you are going to take me along too, right????? Wouldn't we have FUN!

She loved her Snow White dress SO much!! On Monday, she insisted that she wear it all day--no problem! So we went over to Kristi's--I was helping her rearrange and organize her office, and Megan just played, played, played in that dress!!! Too cute! I don't even know if Tom had enough time to sit down on the bus before she fell asleep!!! It was too cute!

I remember stopping a family at the breakfast at Norway last year who was leaving and asked if she was there and sighed a huge sigh of relief when they said yes. Hannah would have been upset too. I also was thrilled to see her at the castle this year, I was not sure if she would be there either, but she was!

Although Ariel... I would love to dine with her! Glad that Megan was okay .... good job mom! She looked so cute too!

She handled the whole thing with Snow White so well---Hmmmm, will there be more Snow White to come later????? I DON'T KNOW!!!

We don't have anything in the works yet, but Megan LITERALLY has asked EACH AND EVERY DAY SINCE WE HAVE RETURNED when we are going back. I told Tom, that we are going to HAVE to take that sweet child back--that is JUST what she is going to want to do for vacation from her on out. I know he wants to try other things for vacations and go to new places, but I think that right now, that is the type of thing Megan is interested in--so why not take her there now when it is all so magical for her?!?!?!?! So that is why I was talking about hoping for it--don't know when, but Megan is already trying to make it come to fruition ASAP!

I was so sad we didn't run into you too!!!

I really do think things are lining up for me to actually take the time to write my books. Tom is the best part of the whole thing--he is so totally supportive and really wants to see me do it. He says to me all the time--"Look at all the crappy books we have found at the library for Megan over the years---if they can get published, you are a shoe-in!" I am sure he is over-biased being my hubby, but it is a good source of encouragement! Here's to hoping!!!

But...I had wanted a Florida/vacation bag, this one screams FLORIDA/VACATION BAG!!! It's just too bright for me (capri melon). I think it's the bright green that breaks the deal. I'm considering the raspberry fizz, but I'd like to see it in person before I exchange.

I know an incredible illustrator for your books whenever you need one (unfortunately it's not me, I have no artistic ability whatsoever). She's already done a couple of children's books.

I will keep the illustrator in mind, but unfortunately, I do not believe I have much of a say in that--from what I have read, I have to send in my completed draft free of illustrations---AND THEN PRAY TO GOD LIKE NEVER BEFORE TO BE ACCEPTED---and then I believe the publishing company helps me pick an illustrator to match everyone's ideas for the book.
