Chris: chrisandgoofy.jpg Not quite as crazy about Disney as his mom, but still loves Disney.

When: May 1st through the 12th.
Where: AKL Kidani Village Savana View- This will be my first official trip as a DVC member. I needed to use the points from 2018, so I figured that this was a good time to do it. So, I called them up and scheduled a trip.

So, originally I had planned to drive down to Disney. Since we live in Alabama it's a short drive. I just really, really hate driving long distances. I have a tendency to get very tired. So, I was talking with a friend and asked him if he would drive of fly. His answer was fly. 100%. Ugh... I told Chris that we were going to drive. Okay, so I can still do this. So, I bought plane tickets and cancelled the rental car. So, we are going to be flying out of our home airport. It's a really small airport, but it's a non-stop flight. We will be in Orlando at about 11:20 am their time. Not bad. I won't be buying many souvenirs, so luggage space won't be an issue. As I discovered last time, it's cheap to mail some of the stuff home. Cheaper than paying for a second bag.

So pretty much everything will be a surprise to him. He doesn't want to know where we are staying, where we are eating or what parks we are going to ahead of time.He likes being surprised. The only thing he did request is that we eat at Sanaa. Mostly because he loved the bread service. I think he would just eat that if it was up to him. LOL!

Thank goodness for this place. Because I would go crazy not being able to talk to anyone about it.

Okay, so I've been playing with dining reservations. I did one during my solo trip and was really hoping that they would continue it. It's the Festival of the Lion King dining package. I wasn't sure how much I was going to like it. Since I'd done the safari so many times I wasn't sure if it would be worth it. Lets just say that it was totally worth every penny.

The private safari alone more than made up for the cost. Not only that, but you get awesome seating at the Lion King show. It's one show that I had never done in all my years going to Disney.I wish I had listened to people when they told me how good it was.

So I've booked the same package for my upcoming trip in May. I'm so very excited now. I can't wait to do it again.

Ooo private safari sounds cool! We've actually only seen the show once on our first trip, I've been meaning to go back and do it again sometime.

Excited for you! :hyper:

So, I've been really bad about posting anything about my upcoming trip. I've had a lot of things come up in my private life and have halfway considered cancelling my trip. First and foremost I had to say goodbye to Buddy. He was a great dog and will be very missed. My brother in law also passed away. I've been in a funk for the last two months or so. I'm hoping that the Disney trip will bring me out of it.

Chris was great about it. As much as he hates talking about our trips, he asked me what I'm looking forward to most the day that we lost Buddy. I kind of looked at him like is he serious? LOL!! So we talked about it a little bit.

I did get my Magical Express tags yesterday in the mail. Chris kept asking me why I was hiding mail in my pants. Cause yeah, I shoved it in my shorts when it came. LOL! I'm really looking forward to it. It will be a welcome relief from real life.

Got all the fast passes we wanted. Now all we have to do is wait.
