Mom...am I supposed to have shoes on?? - August 2013 ***FINISHED 5/5***

Awesome first day!! Do you get to PICK your room at BoG?!

Your room at the poly is beautiful! I love the new decor! So much brighter in there now! And what a great location!

I'm here!!!!!! but now I have to run and pick up V from school. School really? already, so not cool!

Suzie - Looks good and it makes Midori and I miss Disney so much. Got to go pick Midori up from school.

Typing from my phone so don't know how its going to turn out..

Happy Day to All :-)

I have heard that a few of the longhouses at the Poly do have the seperate bathroom/vanity... I would have to do research - but I would still request one of those, I think?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think I heard that when they did the updates with the new decor, they changed all the bathrooms to be the same. For your sake, I hope it's not true. Tikiman should know....ask him if you do decide to go that route.

I did take a picture of the castle from your balcony... And I believe it turned out... It was a beautiful view to have and certainly - I bet it was ASTOUNDING during Wishes... (feel free to take my photo to add to your trip pics if you'd like)...

Thanks so much D. I love that picture!

We did not get a chance to get on the People Mover this trip.

What?!! It is not Disney without at least 3 rides on the PeopleMover! Love that ride. So sad :sad2:

Via Napoli looks wonderful - and I would like to try to eat there some day.

It is one of my favorites. It is much more than just pizza....I just like pizza and it is easy to share, so that's what we have gotten both times. But the appetizers, Aqua Frescas and desserts are worth the trip too. Yum! (Oh, and the cute italian waiters help too)

Awesome update....great pics! :goodvibes

Thank you :thumbsup2

Awesome first day!! Do you get to PICK your room at BoG?!

You get to pick it at lunch. You order at a kiosk, then take a rose shaped buzzer to whatever table you can find. The rose buzzer has some sort of tracking device in it that tells the servers where you are. They bring your food to the table for you. It is wonderful for a QS meal.

For dinner...I believe...that they seat you and you can probably request a certain room, but if there are no tables, there are no tables.

Yay! Hi Erin :wave2: So glad to have you here. Meeting you and little V (a few times) was so great!

Thanks Bob...it makes me miss Disney too. I'm not sure I am going to make it until Feb 2015. Might have to get a quick trip in there somewhere. We'll see...

So, just to let you all know. I saw Sara tonight and she tried to give me her pictures, but they wouldn't copy over to my computer. So she is going to get copies for me and I will post them for you later. She has some great ones. Hopefully I will get those and my Photopass CD soon.

Oh my gosh, how amazing would it be to stay for 30 days! Yeah, not going to happen.

Actually, my parents leave for the winter in FL soon. We are already talking about our annual trip down to see them in February. For some odd reason, we have no nonstop flights to that area out of any of our "local" airports.

My mom wants to take Bradey up to LegoLand one day this trip. Well Legoland is only about a half hour from Disney. I can't be that close and not go. So....I was thinking that maybe we could fly into MCO (because we do have nonstop to there, just not the Ft Myers area), stay at Disney Fri, Sat Sun and Mon night. Have my parents drive up to pick us up early Tues morning and hit Legoland on the way back down to their house. Then we would have Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat with them. Fly home Sunday. Sounds like a plan to me. I will have to watch the discounts when they come out and see. Obviously with only 3 days at Disney, we would need to limit ourselves. But I would be fine with cutting out HS and AK. We could just do MK and Epcot and I would be happy. If I don't over plan, I think Bill might actually go for it.

Your first day sounds MAGICAL pixiedust: and you got so much accomplished. I can't remember...was this Sara's first trip to Disney? Was she hooked by the end of the first day? I can't imagine how you wouldn't be...I mean...BOG lunch, seeing the castle, riding the People Mover, EPCOT, multiple rides, dinner in Italy, Electric Water Pageant....OMG...AWESOME!!!

On the flip side...I can only imagine how exhausted you all were at the end of that first day. OMG...I might have passed out BEFORE my head hit the pillow :faint:

Loved reading about your first day, or should I say 1/2 day. Wow, you guys got a ton accomplished in that short period. Glad you were able to find another hook. That Bradey had a great idea to collect pirate themed pins to go with his lanyard.

Well, your arrival day sure was great! I absolutely love the new look for the Poly rooms. WOW!

And it sounds like a lot of great food. I'm glad to hear lunch at BoG was so nice, and VN always looks delicious.

I can't believe you managed to do so much on arrival day. Very impressive! :thumbsup2

Alas...no pictures. Sorry Mo.

Joining in.

I love the poly and would love to stay there some day!

I hope to take my son (who just turned 1) to Disney when he is 6. My husband is definitely not a Disney loving guy either. I hope to turn him into one after he sees it through a kids eyes. Wishful thinking:)

Can't wait to hear more!

thankfully someone took pictures...... :furious:

JUST KIDDING.. well kinda. I do really really LOVE your room.. i am learning SO much from you and D~... which longhouse and now to ABSOLUTELY go to BOG either lunch of dinner!!!

Yay! Awesome first day! We loved our lunch at BOG as well :)

You're really selling me on the poly! That room looks amazing!

You were a busy lady for sure! So lucky you got to ride SSE! It closed the day we arrived :(

Hubby didn't realize there was a ride "in the ball" and was pretty bummed we missed it. But good to have things for next time I suppose!

Can't wait to read more!!

I am supposed to be getting Sara's pictures tonight. So as soon as I get those all uploaded, I can really get going on this.
Sorry guys....I just don't really want to move off arrival day until I can finish it up.
Promise it will pick up soon. Bear with me :)

GRRRR~ I knew you started this.. but like MO, I don't Dis on the weekends.
Then by the time I made it back to work Tuesday...I forgot! I made it on page 8...so getting to yours on page 4 is at least better than that. :crazy2:

Loving it so far, Suzi! Your room view was AH.MA.ZING! I did get to see D~'s picture from hr TR. The Disney gods were definitely smiling on you when rooms were assigned! pixiedust:

I am appalled at your lack of food porn, friend. You know I love my Disney food porn! :rotfl2::rotfl: Oh well...it really is a great TR so far, so I guess you are forgiven. :thumbsup2

Oh, one last thing....can I be your cousin???
