ok so i figure i need somewhere to talk about what I am doing and If someone reads this and wants to comment...wonderful, and thank you....if not then i still have to find a way to hold myself accountable!

Have you ever seen an outfit hanging in a department store, or seen an activity that you wanted to try, and then it dawns on you...Oh I can't I am too fat for that. Well in planning my DW trip this September, I found the segway tour. I thought oh how fun, and then found the weight limit...250#. I have had it with being to fat to do the things that I want. I am tierd of my body hurting after the simplest of activities, I am too youn for this, I have too much of my life left!

The truth (OMG This is Painful) I am 25 and on 5/15/02 I weighed myself and it was 272.

I started Weight Watchers on-line. I havent gone off plan yet and I dont intend to! I do have a hard time getting my water in, and during the day i have a tendency to forget to eat, and between the night shift and day shift flipping back and forth sometimes i am having a hard time actually eatting all of my points. So here is my log. Here is where i will write down everything that passes through my lips, no exceptions.

I will start with this week on wednesday (since that is my weigh in day)
I tried to weigh myself, but the battery on the scale died I need to get a new one

well I thought that I made the total until I woke up at 2am and was hungry so i had a FF fudgesicle = 1 point

New daily total=31 points, and i only made half of my water. After getting stuck in a 3 hour trafic jam where I was stuck with two cranky hungry kids...i figured that suway wasn't that bad. I was flored when i came home and found out that it wasnt more points. I may have to keep them in mind for when i am running late, or crunched for time.

Friday May26

ok so maybe a whole subway sub wasnt such a good idea, i woke up last night with a killer stomach ache, between the stomach ache that said no more food and my mouth going water, water, water, i was misreable there for a couple of hours.

Notes to self
#1-Dont eat a 12 inch sub and go to bed

So dh wants to go to the movies tonight and out to dinner. He is being really nice and said I can pick wherever I want. The problem is I REALLY want Olive Garden. I however think that just by walking through the front door of that place i am going to use up the next three weeks of points, because as much as i want to be good and order something light and healthy, i know i will end up with something quite the oposite. It really is just better to go somewhere else. I dont know where. He said I need to make the decision and he is not going to be responsble for sabotaging me......all i keep hearing is that song in my head....LOL

This whole weight watcher thing takes a lot of thinking, and frankly i do so much thinking at work, I dont want to think at home. i feel like i am food obsessed now. I went from being happy and content, not having a problem with the way I looked to the point where I can't put something in my mouth without looking at the nutritional information first and wieghing the decision. Is that starbucks really worth the 3 points.....If i eat this I will only have X points left, what else can I eat with x number of points. All this over the fact that I was and am too heavy for a friggin segway tour.

I really need to get out of the house, I thought about going to the zoo today, but it is raining. I really need to go get a battery for the scale so I can actually wiegh myself, but then I wouldnt have an excuse to not wiegh myself......sigh. I need chocolate, and a FF fudgesicle is not going to help.

 Welcome to the Wishboards, Molly! Congrats for getting started on your journey. With the support, challenges & ideas offered here and at WW you'll do great.

Dh and I took the Segway Tour at Epcot and loved it. It was a blast. Great idea having that as a goal. Its alot of fun, & it won't be long until you meet that goal!

well we went out last night and I have come to a conclusion. I no longer like eatting out, well at least not for now. Not until I have a more firm grasp on what is and what is not acceptable in the form of points. We ended up going to TGI Fridays. I had a salad while i had to watch my dh eat a Jack Daniels bacon cheeseburger, Oh how it looked so juicy good.

Today i am going to take it one meal at a time

breakfast
WW yogurt (I am suprised at how good this actually tastes)
Honeydew melon
Subtotal 3 points
Lunch
I ended up with a frozen lean cusine pizza, tasted good but the texture was way off.
subtotal 7 points
Dinner
Grilled chicken on a whole wheat bum with low fat provolone lettuce and tomato we also had some pineapple to go with it
Snack
Smart ones double fudge cake thing
8 oz ff milk
Grand total for the day was 23 points of 30...I needed to eat more and dh told me just to eat something unhealthy but i have learned that it really isnt going to help the way i feel.

I still need tp get a batterey for the scale, I dont really invision leaving the house at all today.

ahh a new day

I work tonight so I didnt get out of bed until 2:30
my first meal was

grilled chicken with provolone and pineapple on whole wheat bread with a side of honeydew and a diet mt dew

total 8 points

snack
the last of the honeydew and some pineapple and a WW vanilla yogurt.
total 3 points

I have to go get ready for work now and come up with 19 more points worth of food to eat. I will post tommrow morning what I came up with, and No i still have not gotten a batterey for the scale, but i do work at a hospital so I can weigh myself at work tonight, if i get the chance.

note to self --Do not forget to weigh yourself

on a side note i think it is an unconcious response that i am avoiding the scale. my dh says that i al looking great and i want to believe him, but if i get on the scale and it hasnt changed then i will be crushed. here is to crossing my fingers (and jsut about everything else that will cross too!

HI Molly and welcome to WISH! I found this forum last month and has been really, really helpful for me. Typing in my weight for the first time was really hard, but it was the first step I had to do to get started. Yes, I do feel food obsessed at times, but I am starting to get the hang of it now. It has been a real eye opener for me to see exactly what is in some of what I thought was "healthy".

It looks like you are making good choices with food. That is really impressive with the hours you keep too! Eating out is difficult. It helps to look up some things online before you go and then you have an idea of what your good choices would be.

Again, welcome to WISH and you are going to ride that Segway. You have the determination and the desire! :cheer2:

thansk for the words of engouragement, i need them!

On my way home from work i stopped off at the dreaded Krispy Kreme. Now if you know me then you know I would travel to the ends of the earth for one of their hot and fresh original glazed donught, i honestly cannot think of a more perfectly soft and sweet ooey gooey food.....I am watering at the mouth and pretending that this carrot is one of those donughts. somehow it just does not substitute for it. but anyway I digressed a little. I went to pick up treats for the kiddos and my dh, thye have been really good and even though it costs a few more dollars to only order 6 i didnt get one for myself, I was really proud.

Dh suprised me when i got up, he had gone to the store and gotten all of the stuff for grilled chicken and veggie kabobs. I willpost the details and a point total later but they were oooooooohhhhhhh sooooooo good! I think it was 8.5 points but will have to check that later.

Tonight is another night at work for me, so arround midnight I had a huge salad with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini, and mushrooms. with some left over grilled chicken. dessert was my new all time favorite Smart ones fudge brownie cake thing and a 10 oz carton of ff milk. grand total 13 points

as a treat to myself (and a way to get in another dairy serving) I had a half cup of Chai latte mix and a cup of ff milk total 4 points

so that puts me at 25 for the day and it is only 0430 in the morning. I am giong to try and fill up on some more water and on my way out of this place grab some eggs or some oatmeal or something so that i actually use ALL of my points.

And incase you are wondering no I have not gotten a batterey for my scale yet, and i "havent had the chance" to weigh myself at work. I really honestly just dont wwant to. Thanks for reading and thanks for the encouragement

:worship: Krispy Kreme is so hard to pass up! Good for you! I love all donuts but yes, Hot orginal glazed from Krispy Kreme is perfection. Luckily there is not a store near me or I would be in big trouble.

You are doing great with your eating. I am completely compulsive and need to see the scale. I think it is great that you don't need to do that. I read some place that you shouldn't weigh yourself more than once a week (yea right!) and once a month is better. If you don't want to weigh yourself, then don't. When you do decide to weigh yourself I bet you will be very pleasantly surprised with a loss! :cheer2: But until then, just keep doing what your doing - eat well, drink lots of water and work in exercise when you can.

Have a great week!

Well done for sticking to your healthy eating plan (NEVER say diet!!)
The first few days & weeks are the hardest as you will be getting cravings, but you WILL get used to not having some foods all the time, you will also find you wont need to count the points so much once you get used to what you can & cant have, it becomes a way of life!
qoute - 'I went to pick up treats for the kiddos and my dh, thye have been really good and even though it costs a few more dollars to only order 6 i didnt get one for myself, I was really proud.'
Remember that feeling, it will help, i know it did me, it was the first time i felt
'in control'
Keep up the good work :)

yesterday could have been better, I didnt get all of my water, nor did I get all of my veggies. I had a migraine and have a really hard time eatting when i have one. although I am pretty sure that my trigger was either lack of caffine, or the fact that i didnt eat until 1 in the afternoon. switching back and forth between nights and days gets hard on the system.

Dh suprised me last night, we have had a rough couple of weeks arround here, I have been pulling a lot of extra shifts trying to save up enough to pay for daycare for the summer and it has taken it's toll on me. We are going to cancun Mexico for june 9th to the 12th!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is an all inclusive resort and at first i was really hesitant because of the money being spent, but he arranged for us to only have to use 1 day of daycare a week this summer which will save me about 120 a week. His brother and my mom are both going to take 1 day a week too....HUGE relief!

i'm not exactly sure how the plan will do in mexico, but i think i can stay with it for the most part as far as food goes, now drinks are a whole nother story. I figure that we will be doing so much swimming that it will make up for it.

oh and incase you are wondering, No i have not weighed myself, i still need to get a battery for the scale

Hi Molly,
Just wanted to offer some kudos! :thumbsup2 You are doing great especially for being so busy with 2 kids. Remember taking care of YOU is the best gift you can give them. It is great for them to see you eating healthy. I truly believe you can do this. I can feel your passion and drive. It's inspiring.

Lots of people on the boards are doing great with WW. I personally found it too difficult to count everything I ate. I felt like a slave to food. I have found success with South Beach. Just thought I'd mention it. I'm 26 with a 2-year-old and can easily make food choices throughout the day without measuring anything. It sounds like you might do well on it as well. I just bought the paperback book from Walmart and read it. There's no weekly fees or anything. Just a thought.

Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see pics of you on a Segway!!! What a celebration that will be! party:

Have an absolutely fabulous time in Mexico. It sounds like you really deserve it with the busy schedule you have! As far as sticking to plan, just remember to eat and drink in moderation. You are on vacation and need to enjoy and relax, and when you get you'll get right back on track.

So wonderful that you have family that is willing to step in and help out for the summer. That is great!

Have a great weekend and get packed for Mexico! :cheer2:

I am getting so stoked about mexico. thanks for the encouragement again. I had thought about dong the South beach thing, but I think i need the structure of WW. and the acountability of the points system. If i eventually get arround to weighing myself and WW isnt working then I may rethink things. But for now, i think being aware/obsessed about what I am eatting is actually good for me.

I got to go to the movies with one of my firends last night and see the Davinci code, good movie....took a LONG time though. I was pleasntly suprised about how well it followed the book. There were a few places that it vered but for the most part it did ok. Although it asnt as edge of my seat suspensful as I had hoped that it would be. After we the movie it was late and the only thing left open was Taco Bell, so i had a diet coke and figured I would eat something when i got home.

I really am not feeling that up to par, and today my dd (8) isn't feeling good either, so i think i may have caught a bug. Here is what yesterday looked like. Still not up enough withthe veggies, but i did manage to eat all of my points (thanks to a pb&j craving)

It really is getting easier to figure out the points, and Dh got tierd of hearing that i didnt get the chance to go get a batterey for the scale, so he bought a whole new scale. So apparently i need to come up with a better excuse for not getting on the thing. I really want to weigh myself on a morning where i have actually slept all night and not ate all night at work. so that should be thursdayish....we'll see...I will eventually have to weigh myself to see if i am at my seg-weight! lol I love that saying.

:rotfl2: Guess DH found a solution for you! :rotfl2:

Working nights and days has got to be tough. You are doing a great job journaling your points and being aware of what you are eating. That is a great step. You will ride that segway! :cheer2:

Molly!
Awesome that you kept up with your food even during a tough weekend. :thumbsup2 You're doing great!
